Band of the Two Rivers will perform at this year’s Creative Arts Festival at Thompson Park
(LINCROFT, NJ) -- Celebrate local artists by heading over to the Monmouth County Park System's annual Creative Arts Festival. Held from 10:00am-4:00pm on Saturday, May 10 at Thompson Park (805 Newman Springs Road) in Lincroft, this juried arts festival includes live music, engaging art demonstration, children's art-based activities, and, best of all, beautiful and unique pieces created by select artists and fine crafters.
Browse 50+ booths of pottery, painting, jewelry and more. Artist booths will be located both inside the barns and outdoors under tents as this family-friendly event encompasses the grounds of the Creative Arts Center and two beautiful historic barns.
Outdoor musical performances include The Band of the Two Rivers from 10:30am-11:30am; Kϋld d’Sack from 12:15pm-1:45pm; and the Chuck Lambert Band from 2:30pm-4:00pm. Musicians on a Mission will offer performances throughout the day inside “the Gallery.”
Art demonstrations include: Stained Glass - Kate Grady from 12:00pm-2:00pm; Wire Wrap Jewelry - Sandy Lupo from 2:00pm-4:00pm; Large Sculpture - Konstantin Zingerman (Ongoing); Advanced Pottery Forms - Pete MacConnell (Ongoing); and 3D Chalk Art - Anthony Cappetto (Ongoing).
Children are invited to contribute to the community mural and make crafts. The event will also feature three food trucks. Admission and parking for the festival are free.
