The distinctive American songwriter, pianist and three-time Grammy Award-winner is joined by yMusic, the genre-leading contemporary classical ensemble, for a performance showcasing new collaborative compositions from their critically acclaimed album Deep Sea Vents plus other favorites from Hornsby's illustrious catalog.

Saturday, May 3 - Adelphi Orchestra presents Northern Harmonies Concert featuring Violinist Matthew Hakkarainen. (RIVER EDGE, NJ) -- The Adelphi Orchestra, New Jersey's longest continuously performing orchestra, presents Northern Harmonies, a stirring concert showcasing the works of Sibelius, Grieg, and Svendsen under the baton of Maestro Kyunghun Kim. The concert takes place on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 3:00pm at the Broadway Presbyterian Church in New York City and on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 2:00pm at the Fair Lawn Community Center in New Jersey.

Saturday, May 3 - The Jazz Remix at NBPAC presents Kim and Kayla Waters. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The Jazz Remix at NBPAC presents Kim and Kayla Waters on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center (NBPAC). Showtime is 7:00pm.

Sunday, May 4 - Remember Jones presents Back to BACK TO BLACK: The Amy Winehouse Celebration at Outpost in the Burbs. (MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Remember Jones presents back to BACK TO BLACK: the AMY WINEHOUSE celebration at Outpost in the Burbs on May 4, 2025 at 7:00pm (6:30pm doors). The concert will take place at the First Congregational Church (40 South Fullerton Avenue) in Montclair.

Sunday, May 4 - Sammy By The Sea Tribute Event Will Celebrate Sammy Davis, Jr.'s 100th Anniversary!. (AVON-BY-THE-SEA, NJ) -- A memorable musical event, Sammy By The Sea, presented by producer Karen Morris of Sand Castle Communications and The Rack Pack Music Alliance, will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the multitalented, sensational performer known as Mr. Entertainment, the incomparable Sammy Davis, Jr.!

Sunday, May 4 - Middletown Arts Center's May MAC Music Cafe features Gabrielle Lea, Carol Lester, Keith Monacchio, and Mark Healy. (MIDDLETOWN, NJ) -- Middletown Arts Center's monthly music showcase features singer-songwriters Gabrielle Lea, Carol Lester, Keith Monacchio, and Mark Healy. It takes place Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Admission is free with a $5 suggested donation.

Wednesday, April 30 - PSO Soundtracks: #quartweets with Signum Quartet. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- The award-winning string ensemble Signum Quartet revisits its 2015 #quartweet Project with an interactive talk on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 7:00pm in the Community Room at the Princeton Public Library. Presented by the Princeton Symphony Orchestra in partnership with the Library, the talk will include an explanation of the social media-inspired #quartweet format followed by performances of the Quartet's best loved #quartweets by professional and student composers, as well as premieres of some new #quartweet compositions. The audience will have the opportunity to compose a group #quartweet and hear the music come to life.

Thursday, May 1 - Signum Quartet Returns to Perform on PSO Chamber Series at Trinity Church. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- The internationally known ensemble Signum Quartet returns to Princeton on Thursday, May 1, 2025 to perform on the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO)'s new chamber music series at Trinity Church. Showtime is 7:00pm.

Friday, May 2 - The Newton Theatre presents Jefferson Starship. (NEWTON, NJ) -- Jefferson Starship brings their 50th Anniversary Tour to The Newton Theatre on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 8:00pm. One of the most successful arena rock bands of the '70s and '80s, they earned 3 platinum and 8 gold records, as well as numerous Top 40 Billboard singles. As they celebrate their 50th anniversary, the band reaches a rare milestone that only a few bands ever achieve.

Friday, May 2 - Stone Pony Summer Stage presents Warren Zeiders with special guest Tyler Braden. (ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- The Stone Pony Summer Stage presents Warren Zeiders with special guest Tyler Braden on Friday, May 2, 2025. Warren Zeiders is one of Country music's newest and most-promising stars. Doors are at 6:30pm, showtime is 8:00pm.

Friday, May 2 - WDHA presents Ace Frehley at Starland Ballroom. (SAYREVILLE, NJ) -- WDHA presents Ace Frehley on Friday, May 2, 2025 at the Starland Ballroom. Support comes from Mainline, Rahway, and Ten Ton Mojo. Doors are at 6:00pm, showtime is 7:00pm.

Friday, May 2 - The Levoy Theatre presents 2U - "The World's 2nd Best U2 Show". (MILLVILLE, NJ) -- The Levoy Theatre presents 2U - a U2 tribute band on Friday, May 2, 2025. Doors are at 6:00pm, showtime is 7:00pm. They are the only U2-authentic show that's been called by Bono, "The best U2 tribute band we are aware of to date, hands down!"

Friday, May 2 - Troubadour Acoustic Concert Series presents Abby Posner with Bob Andrews. (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- The Folk Project's Troubadour Acoustic Concert Series presents Abby Posner with Bob Andrews on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 7:30pm. The concert is available in-person and via live webcast.

Saturday, May 3 - New Jersey Symphony and Windborne Music Group present The Music of Led Zeppelin. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- New Jersey Symphony and Windborne Music Group present The Music of Led Zeppelin with Brent Havens conducting and Justin Sargent performing as a vocalist on the program. The performances will take place on Saturday, May 3 at 8:00pm, at bergenPAC in Englewood; and Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 3:00pm, at State Theatre New Jersey in New Brunswick.

Sunday, May 4 - Larry Fuller Trio at May Jersey Jazz LIVE! in Madison. Pianist Larry Fuller has always loved musicians who "play at an incredible level but still remain accessible to an audience." Some examples among pianists, he said, are Oscar Peterson, Monty Alexander, Cedar Walton, and Ahmad Jamal. That will be the musical essence of Fuller's performance when he leads a trio on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at the New Jersey Jazz Society's Jersey Jazz LIVE! concert at the Madison (NJ) Community Arts Center. His music, he said, will hopefully "uplift people with the spirit and energy of swinging."

Eddie Skuller to pay tribute to Tom Waits in Hoboken  (HOBOKEN, NJ) -- Looking for the heart of Saturday night? Find it in Hoboken on Saturday, May 10, 2025 when the 503 Social Club presents singer/songwriter Eddie Skuller's tribute to the "Ballads of Tom Waits." Skuller explores the dark, poetic world of Tom Waits with diverse selections from his extensive catalog. Although Skuller's amber-saturated vocals contrast with Wait's raucous gravel-like voice, there is a connection channeled through the music's emotional depth and lyrical intensity. Skuller can forge a deep, powerful bond with his audience, which enhances the tragic expression at the core of Waits' music.

Natasha Paremski Returns to the Princeton Symphony Orchestra Stage for Rachmaninoff Concerto  (PRINCETON, NJ) -- Audience favorite Natasha Paremski marks a third return to the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) stage May 10-11, 2025 with Sergei Rachmaninoff's demanding Piano Concerto No. 3 in D Minor, Op. 30, a perfect showcase for her expert technique and dynamic style. Edward T. Cone Music Director Rossen Milanov conducts the program, which also features the Westminster Symphonic Choir.

Newton Theatre presents The Last Waltz featuring The THE BAND Band  (NEWTON, NJ) -- On Friday, May 16, 2025, The Newton Theatre hosts The Last Waltz Celebration featuring The THE BAND Band and special guests. Monmouth University's Center for the Arts presents An Evening with Rickie Lee Jones  (WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- Monmouth University's Center for the Arts presents An Evening with Rickie Lee Jones on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 8:00pm in the Pollak Theatre. This concert was rescheduled from October 12th and tickets for that date will be valid.

Xian Zhang conducts Mozart, Bach, and Abels with performances in Princeton and Newark  (NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Symphony presents Music Director Xian Zhang conducting Mozart, Bach and Abels, with the Symphony's principal violins, Eric Wyrick and Francine Storck, stepping up to perform Bach's Double Concerto with the orchestra. Performances take place this May at NJPAC in Newark and Richardson Auditorium in Princeton.

Tony Award Winner Donna McKechnie to present "Take Me to the World: The Songs of Stephen Sondheim" at Bell Theater  (HOLMDEL, NJ) -- Tony Award winner Donna McKechnie (A Chorus Line) will perform her one-woman show, "Take Me to the World: The Songs of Stephen Sondheim" on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Bell Theater at Bell Works in Holmdel. Showtime is 7:30pm.

Hackensack Performing Arts Center presents Paula Cole  (HACKENSACK, NJ) -- Paula Cole will perform at the Hackensack Performing Arts Center (HACPAC) on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 8:00pm. With a voice that resonates with emotion and a talent for weaving deeply personal narratives into her music, Paula Cole has established herself as a unique and influential presence in the music industry.

Ukrainian Masterworks at Music at Bunker Hill  (SEWELL, NJ) -- In her Music at Bunker Hill debut, violinist Solomiya Ivakhiv appears on Sunday, May 18, 2025 with works by Yakymenko and Franck. Dr. Ivakhiv will be joined by pianist Melvin Chen; Emilie-Anne Gendron, violin; William Frampton, viola; and Laura Metcalf-Boyd, cello. Ukrainian born Ivakhiv will introduce the audience to works by Ukrainian composer Fedir Yakymenko, who was a contemporary of the Russian Five. Showtime is 3:00pm.

Johnny Mathis to Hold Final Concert at bergenPAC  (ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) will present the final concert date of entertainment icon Johnny Mathis' "The Voice Of Romance" Tour and celebrates the 70-year career of his timeless music on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 7:00pm.

Hoboken Spring Arts & Music Festival to Take Place May 18th  (HOBOKEN, NJ) -- Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla and the City of Hoboken invite residents and visitors to the annual Hoboken Spring Arts & Music Festival on Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 11:00am to 6:00pm on Washington Street, between Observer Highway and Seventh Street. The event attracts over 30,000 visitors each spring and showcases the city's vibrant cultural scene. It features live musical performances on two stages, a variety of eateries, and over 300 artists, makers, crafters, and vendors.
