(NEW HOPE, PA) -- The Mill Ballet School of New Hope, PA presents a weeklong celebration in honor of International Dance Day on April 29, 2025. The celebration includes a special Open House Week, running from Monday, April 28 through Saturday, May 3, during which the school will offer free dance classes to all new visiting students. This event invites the community to discover the transformative power of dance.
The festivities will culminate in the Viva Cultura Cinco de Mayo Festival on Saturday, May 3 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. This family-friendly cultural event will showcase a vibrant lineup of live performances throughout the afternoon.
Featured performers include: Roxey Ballet; Mill Ballet School Trainees; Bombazo Dance Company; Kojo Ayinde, Drummer (West African drumming); Lisa Botalico (Flamenco artist); Art of Motion Dance Theatre; and more.
In addition to performances, the week will offer participatory activities, cultural displays, and open classes in various dance styles including ballet, hip hop, contemporary, jazz, Latin ballroom, and more—all open to the public free of charge.
“This is an invitation to the entire community to experience the joy, rhythm, and beauty of dance,” says Melissa Roxey, Artistic Director. “We’re thrilled to open our doors and share this celebration of movement, culture, and creativity.”
