Dystopia Tonight presents "24-Hour (Yes, Really) Benefit Stream to End MS" on March 26-27

As National MS Awareness Month is happening this month, March, Dystopia Tonight with John Poveromo is once again stepping up to make a difference. From March 26 at 8:00pm through March 27, 2025 at 8:00pm, the podcast will host its fourth annual 24-hour livestream, uniting comedians, musicians, actors, scientists, and MS warriors for an unforgettable event to benefit the National MS Society.

This year’s fundraiser comes at a critical time, as recent budget cuts to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) threaten vital research funding. With MS research already underfunded, these cuts could slow breakthroughs, limit treatment options, and directly impact those living with MS. This makes Dystopia Tonight’s annual benefit more important than ever.

An Unmissable Lineup for a Critical Cause

Hosted by nationally touring comedian John Poveromo, the event will feature 70+ celebrity guests spanning generations and industries. Past participants have included legendary musicians like Art Alexakis (Everclear frontman and MS Warrior), Ricky Byrd (Joan Jett and the Blackhearts), Glen Phillips (Frontman for Toad The Wet Sprocket) A six song live acoustic set from Gin Blossoms and comedic legends such as Robert Smigel (Triumph The Insult Comic Dog), Robert Klein, Lewis Black, Rita Rudner, Judah Friedlander, Chuck Nice, Colin Mochrie (Whose Line Is It Anyway?) and a “That 70s Show” reunion withTommy Chong, Kurtwood Smith, and creator/show-runner Mark Brazill.

This year’s lineup will continue to bring together Hollywood stars, groundbreaking scientists, and inspiring MS warriors, all sharing their personal connections to the cause. The event will also include exclusive prizes, giveaways, and live performances to keep audiences engaged while raising crucial funds.

Dystopia Tonight dares to ask: Is this too much? Are we stuck in a whirlwind of clickbait, doomscrolling, and absurdity? Hosted by John Poveromo, the podcast features a personally curated mix of musicians, comedians, scientists, astronauts, educators, and unsung pop culture heroes. Now at over 200+ episodes, the show has expanded to include live performances, fundraising events, and exclusive interviews.

New Jersey-based John Poveromo is a nationally touring comedian, cartoonist, writer, actor, and host of Dystopia Tonight on Twitch, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube.
