2025 Garden State Film Festival Takes Place March 27-30

originally published: 03/15/2025

The 23rd Annual Garden State Film Festival takes place March 27-30, 2025 in both Cranford and Asbury Park.  The festival includes screenings, filmmaker breakfast & panel discussions, a table read of the screenplay competition winner, and the annual awards banquet.

From world premieres to thought-provoking documentaries, you’ll experience a range of shorts, features and student works that reflect the creativity and diversity of our region. Plus, you can get up close and personal with the folks behind the camera — think Q&As, meet-and-greets, and engaging workshops that let you peek behind the scenes of today’s most captivating films.

“New Jersey is brimming with hidden gems and creative energy, and the Garden State Film Festival is proud to showcase them year-round. By presenting in multiple counties, we not only support local filmmakers but also draw visitors from near and far — fueling tourism and helping everyone discover the diverse communities that make our state so special," said Lauren Concar Sheehy, Executive Director, Garden State Film Festival.

Tickets are available for purchase online.

Screenings take place at the Cranford Theater (25 N Ave W) in Cranford; the Jersey Shore Arts Center (66 S Main Street) in Ocean Grove; and the following venues in Asbury Park: Asbury Lanes (209 Fourth Avenue), The Asbury (210 Fifth Avenue), Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel's Kingsley and Continental Ballrooms (1401 Ocean Avenue).
