The League of Live Stream Theater offers Stream of sold out "Beckett Briefs"
 

(NEW YORK, NY) -- After a sold out run in NYC, there are only a limited number of tickets available for an exclusive stream of Beckett Briefs - From the Cradle to the Grave performed by Irish Repertory Theatre. The stream is presented by The League of Live Stream Theater and is available for viewing from March 16-30, 2025.

NJ Playwright Duo to Receive NYC Premiere of New Historical Satire, "Sacco & Vanzetti are Dead"
 

(NEW YORK, NY) -- Wayne natives Joey DeFilippis and Matthew Ferrara take to the page and stage with their latest endeavor: a satirical retelling of the historic trial of Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti, two Italian immigrants caught in the web of prejudice and political persecution during America's first "Red Scare". Sacco & Vanzetti are Dead will receive its New York City premiere this July at The American Theatre of Actors. DeFilippis and Ferrara conceived and wrote the play, and will also star as the titular characters.

 



The Theater Project Announces Winners of 2025 Young Playwrights Competition
 

(UNION, NJ) -- Four students from New Jersey high schools wrote the winning plays in The Theater Project's Young Playwrights Competition 2025. They will see their works performed by professional actors at the virtual awards ceremony on Monday, March 31, at 7:30pm. Eight students whose work received Honorable Mentions will also speak at the event.

New Release Review - "Cold Wallet"
 

In my review of Craig Gillespie's Dumb Money, which dramatised the GameStop "short squeeze" of January 2021, I remarked how it resembled a Steven Soderbergh movie in both its execution and the use of its ensemble cast. Perhaps Soderbergh felt like he missed out on lending his commentary to our current culture of tech-savvy get-rich-quick endeavours, as he has lent his name (in the form of a "Steven Soderbergh Presents" title card) to director Cutter Hodierne's crypto-themed thriller Cold Wallet.
