originally published: 02/18/2025

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- The ShowRoom and Parlor Gallery are proud to co-present Dedicated to David, a special film series celebrating the groundbreaking work of the late David Lynch. Known for his surreal mysteries, haunting dreamscapes, and uniquely American nightmares, Lynch redefined cinematic storytelling with films that continue to mesmerize, provoke, and inspire.

Tickets for all screenings are available at showroomcinemas.com.

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me – Saturday, February 22. The series begins with Lynch’s chilling and poignant prequel to Twin Peaks. In the questionable town of Deer Meadow, Washington, FBI Agent Desmond inexplicably disappears while hunting for the man who murdered a teen girl. The killer is never apprehended, and, after experiencing dark visions and supernatural encounters, Agent Dale Cooper chillingly predicts that the culprit will claim another life. Meanwhile, in the more cozy town of Twin Peaks, hedonistic beauty Laura Palmer hangs with lowlifes and seems destined for a grisly fate. Doors are at 6:30pm, at 7:00pm there is a live performance by Ghostwood Orchestra, specializing in the music of Twin Peaks. Film screening is at 8:30pm, introduced by journalist Alex Biese. Tickets: $25 – A portion of proceeds will support California Wildfire Relief.

Wild at Heart  – Friday, March 14 at 7:30pm. Next in the series is Lynch’s electrifying road movie about star-crossed lovers Sailor (Nicolas Cage) and Lula (Laura Dern). Blending violent passion with offbeat humor, the film won the prestigious Palme d’Or at Cannes and remains one of Lynch’s most daring, fever-dream love stories. Tickets: $15.

Blue Velvet – Friday, March 28 at 7:30pm. The series concludes with a neo-noir thriller that unearths the darkness beneath small-town America. Featuring unforgettable performances from Kyle MacLachlan, Isabella Rossellini, and Dennis Hopper, it remains one of Lynch’s most celebrated and influential films. Tickets: $15
