(NEW HOPE, PA) -- Steampunk is coming to New Hope and taking over Dharma Bums Bar with the Clockwork Cupid Burlesque Cabaret presented by Steampunk Alchemy Fest on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 8:00pm to 11:00pm. The event features Music by A Halo Called Fred; Burlesque by Holly Ween, Esmerelda May, and Jaeda; Sideshow by Lady Gypsy Professional Monstrosity; and Comedy by John Minus.

Dharma Bums, a bar and restaurant nestled on the bank of the Delaware River Canal, “is a cozy space with a nod to the past, a simpler time, when people gathered to listen to live music, eat good food, and enjoy a drink.” The owners invited the organizers of the North New Jersey event Steampunk Alchemy Fest to do a pop-up event in their location to bring something unique to the space they have designed to welcome the community to engage in and enjoy a wide variety of live music, workshops, and events that can bring people together.

The folks who run Steampunk Alchemy Fest were excited to work on a new pop-up event to bring their unique vision of steampunk and the steampunk community to a different venue and area. Steampunk Alchemy began as an experiment between friends who shared the same geeky/nerdy passions and over the course of several years has evolved into a full-scale steampunk festival that will be expanding this year into a weekend long event this June in Budd Lake, NJ.

As expected, the event will feature burlesque performances from premiere performers such as Holly Ween, Esmerelda May, and Jaeda. Clockwork Cupid is a small taste of the cabaret that has become a staple at the main Steampunk Alchemy Fest event and will also feature live music by A Halo Called Fred, sideshow feats with Professional Monstrosity Lady Gypsy, and the comedic stylings of John Minus.

For more information about Clockwork Cupid or to purchase tickets visit dbums.com. Advance tickets are $15 or $20 at the door. Dharma Bums is located at 4935 River Rd, New Hope, PA.
