George Street Playhouse presents "SMALL"  (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- George Street Playhouse presents SMALL from January 14 through February 2, 2025. This is a Penguin Rep Theatre production written and performed by Robert Montano (The Steel Man), and directed by Jessi D. Hill (Daniel's Husband). From the racetrack to the stage, Robert Montano shares his extraordinary true story of resilience and reinvention through the highs and lows of an unconventional life.

Algonquin Arts Theatre Announces Casting and Creative Team for "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown"  (MANASQUAN, NJ) -- Algonquin Arts Theatre presents its January musical, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown from January 18-26, 2025. Rediscover the magic of childhood with Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, Sally and the rest of the gang. The musical brings to life the timeless stories that have captured the hearts of audiences for generations.

Vivid Stage Presents a Reading of "The Mountaintop" on January 19th in Collaboration with Interweave and Saint John's Church  (SUMMIT, NJ) -- Vivid Stage is celebrating its 30th Anniversary season, marking decades of bringing contemporary theatre to audiences in the state of New Jersey. On Sunday, January 19, 2025 at 4:30pm, Vivid will co-sponsor a reading of Katori Hall's play The Mountaintop with Interweave and Saint John's Lutheran Church of Summit in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy. The reading will take place at Saint John's (587 Springfield Avenue) in Summit. No tickets are necessary; all are welcome.

The Maplewood Strollers to Hold Auditions for "The Colored Museum" by George C. Wolfe  (MAPLEWOOD, NJ) -- The Maplewood Strollers are holding auditions for The Colored Museum by George C. Wolfe on Monday, January 13 and Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at the Burgdorff Center. Auditions will take place from 7:00pm to 10:00pm both nights. Callbacks will take place on Wednesday, January 15th at 7:00pm. The production will be Directed by Victoria Lauture Duncker with Musical Direction by Ebony Wiggins.

North Star Theater Company presents "Little Women" at Dover Little Theatre in January  (DOVER, NJ) -- North Star Theater Company invites audiences to experience the enduring charm of Little Women by Kate Hamill, adapted from Louisa May Alcott's beloved novel. This heartfelt and dynamic production will run for two weekends, January 17-19, 2025 and January 24–26, 2025, at Dover Little Theatre.

Shakespeare '70 presents "The Clean House" at Kelsey Theatre  (WEST WINDSOR, NJ) -- A housemaid that would rather tell jokes than clean, her married doctor employers, and a sister begging to do the cleaning herself all adds up to some messy situations when Shakespeare '70 presents The Clean House from January 17-26, 2025 at the Kelsey Theatre on the West Windsor Campus of Mercer County Community College (MCCC).

Music Mountain Theatre presents "Iconic Broadway: A Concert"  (LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) — Relive your favorite moments from Broadway's beloved musicals in a night of unforgettable songs presented by a show-stopping ensemble of two dozen performers as Music Mountain Theatre opens its 2025 season with a new, original concert conceived by MMT's own Louis Palena. Performances runs for 12 performances from January 17 through February 2, 2025.

Bordentown Regional High School Chapter Select play "After Math" to be presented on Friday  (BORDENTOWN, NJ) -- The Bordentown Regional High School Chapter Select play After Math by Jonathan Dorf will be performed on Friday, January 17, 2025 in the Bordentown Performing Arts Center. This is a short dramedy about how well we know each other. The production is directed by senior Ryan Haje and will be featured at the 2025 NJ State Thespian Festival. Showtime is 7:30pm.

Tri-County Wrestling Champion Takes Center Stage as Elle Woods in ShowKids Invitational Theatre's "Legally Blonde"  (HIGH BRIDGE, NJ) -- Fresh from making history as North Hunterdon Lions Wrestling Team's first female Tri-County Champion, Riley Conaty now takes center stage in ShowKids Invitational Theatre (SKIT)'s production of Legally Blonde: The Musical. It runs for two weekends from January 18-26, 2025.

The Theater Project presents a staged reading of "Covenant Farm" by Brigid Amos  (CRANFORD, NJ) -- The Theater Project presents a reading of Covenant Farm by Brigid Amos on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Cranford Community Center. Theater enthusiasts will have the opportunity to experience a staged reading of a new play and share their reactions with the playwright in the next installment of The Theater Project's "New Play Readings". Admission is free, with no registration required. Showtime is 2:00pm.

Black Box presents Staged Reading of "The Goat" by Edward Albee  (TEANECK, NJ) -- In association with The Estate of Edward Albee, Black Box presents a staged reading of Edward Albee's The Goat (2002) on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Debonair Music Hall. Admission is free. Showtime is 7:30pm. The play won the Drama Desk Award for Best New Play 2002 and the Tony Award for Best Play 2002.

State Theatre New Jersey presents "The Addams Family"  (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents the musical comedy, The Addams Family for four performances from January 24-26, 2025. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. A man her parents have never met...

Wharton Community Players presents "The Moors"  (BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ) -- Wharton Community Players (WCP) presents The Moors by Jen Silverman from January 24-February 2, 2025 in the Wharton Black Box Theater (at 60 Locust Avenue) in Berkeley Heights. Join them as we take a trip back to Victorian England with two sisters and their dog, as they dream about what life can be. The arrival of their new governess takes all of the characters on a path they couldn't have anticipated. Full of feeling and wit, The Moors is a riveting dark comedy.

Aspire PAC presents "Sweeney Todd (High School Edition)"  (FAIR LAWN, NJ) -- "God, that's good!" Get ready for some macabre madness when Aspire Performing Arts Company's production of Sweeney Todd High School Edition comes to the Fair Lawn Community Center from January 24-26, 2025. Featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by Hugh Wheeler, it won the Tony Award for Best New Musical in 1979.

Luna Stage to Hold Special Fundraiser; Italian Dinner and One Hour of "The Godfather" presented live by Nathan Darrow  (WEST ORANGE, NJ) -- Luna Stage presents a special fundraiser on Friday, January 24, 2025. The event includes a family style Italian dinner followed by Nathan Darrow performing 60 minutes of the iconic 1972 film, The Godfather, live.

Paper Mill Playhouse presents "Mystic Pizza" - A New Musical based on the classic film  (MILLBURN, NJ) -- Paper Mill Playhouse presents Mystic Pizza - a new musical based on the 1988 movie which starred Julia Roberts - from January 29 through February 23, 2025. Mystic Pizza is a new musical about three working-class girls who navigate the complexities of life, love and family in a small-town pizza joint.

State Theatre New Jersey presents An Evening with Sutton Foster  (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents An Evening with Sutton Foster on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 8:00pm. The Tony® Award-winning artist will perform from her extensive Broadway catalog including, The Music Man, Anything Goes, and Sweeney Todd.

Masquerade Theatre presents "Rabbit Hole"  (RIVERSIDE, NJ) -- Masquerade Theatre presents Rabbit Hole by David Lindsay-Abaire across two weekends (January 31 - February 2, 2025 and February 6-8, 2025). The production is directed by by Megan Knowlton Balne. Rabbit Hole was the recipient of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

(HACKENSACK, NJ) -- The Company Theatre Group presents a Staged Reading of Final Day, the Musical in the Ruth Bauer Neustadter Gallery at Hackensack Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 3:00pm & 7:00pm. Set on the final day of World War II in Germany, Final Day follows prisoners awaiting liberation as they confront a camp commandant under orders to execute them all.

interACT Theatre Productions presents "Psycho Beach Party"

(MAPLEWOOD, NJ) -- interACT Theatre Productions presents Psycho Beach Party by Charles Busch presented as part of OUT IN MAPSO PRIDE 2026 with two performances June 19-20 at The Burgdorff Center for the Performing Arts.

Pioneer Productions presents "Merrily We Roll Along"

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Pioneer Productions presents Merrily We Roll Along, the groundbreaking musical by Stephen Sondheim with a book by George Furth. Based on the 1934 play by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, the musical premiered in 1981 and has since become one of Sondheim's most daring and emotionally resonant works. The show will run weekends from June 19-June 28, 2026 at The Stage at Fellowship Hall, located inside the Morristown United Methodist Church.

Bell Theater at Bell Works presents "We'll Meet Again"

(HOLMDEL, NJ) -- Bell Theater at Bell Works presents We'll Meet Again from June 18-28, 2026. This is a patriotic and life-affirming story inspired by the life of Heinz "Henry" Stern, a true American original. This is a new musical by James R. Harris with Musical Arrangements by Mark Hayes. The production is directed by Daniel Kutner.
