(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- When the daily barrage of information overwhelms us, is shutting down the only solution? Philosopher and New York Times bestselling author Nate Klemp, Ph.D., will offer direction to paths that lead to open-mindedness in his Ocean County Library Virtual Author Talk on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. The event begins at 2:00pm.

Nate will elaborate the principles of Open: Living with an Expansive Mind in a Distracted World, available as an eAudiobook through hoopla at the Ocean County Library as is his previous work, The 80/80 Marriage: A New Model for a Happier, Stronger Relationship.

Through research, traditional wisdom and personal experience, Nate will explore why we tend to block stress inducers, how distractions feed the tendency, and how overcoming pain or sadness to remain engaged is a strengthening force in the long run.

In addition to appearing on Good Morning America  and Talks at Google, Nate is a founder of Mindful Magazine and the LifeXT wellbeing website. His mindfulness videos can be found on Instagram and he regularly posts in the Klemp Insights Newsletter.

Please register at https://libraryc.org/theoceancountylibrary to attend this free program, to view the upcoming schedule, and to view previous talks. Registrants will receive links to the program by email and may submit questions for the author when signing up.
