Brick City Comedy Revue to Celebrate 10th Anniversary at Newark Local Beer

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Brick City Comedy Revue, Newark's premier comedy showcase will celebrate 10 years on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Newark Local Beer. This edition of the monthly show, hosted by Justin Williams and DJ Gonzalo Silva, features Myq Kaplan, Abbi Crutchfield, Gabe Pacheco, Pat Wise, and special surprise guests. Showtime is 8:00pm.

Tickets are $12 and available for purchase online. This is an official stop of Newark First Fridays.

Myq Kaplan has appeared on the Tonight Show, Conan, Letterman, James Corden, Seth Meyers, Comedy Central, Last Comic Standing, and America’s Got Talent. He has a half-hour special on Comedy Central, a one-hour standup special on Amazon called “Small, Dork, and Handsome,” and a new Dry Bar special called “Live From The Universe,” as well as two podcasts, “The Faucet” and “Broccoli and Ice Cream.” His debut album, “Vegan Mind Meld,” was one of iTunes’ top 10 comedy albums of the year, and his newest album, “A.K.A.,” debuted at #1 and was called “invigoratingly funny” by the NY Times!

Abbi Crutchfield is the host of Up Early Tonight on Hulu. You have seen her on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, Comedy Central, and as the host of You Can Do Better on TruTV.

Gabe Pacheco has appeared on stages as big as Caroline’s, as experimental as The Creek & The Cave, and as buzzed about as the Knitting Factory. In addition to being invited to the Asheville and Accidental Comedy Festivals, Gabe has shared insights on Sirius XM’s “Tell Me Everything with John Fugelsang” and “Affirmative Reaction with Xorje Olivares”, while also sitting in as the permanent guest host of the widely popular, left-wing humor and journalism podcast, “The Katie Halper Show”.
