Shea Center for Performing Arts presents The Kelly Green Seems Quartet

(WAYNE, NJ) -- New York City based pianist, vocalist, composer, and educator Kelly Green brings her heartfelt, luminous, and swinging music to the stage at Shea Center for Performing Arts with her Seems Quartet on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 7:30pm. The quartet is named after the latest release of her working group of Evan Hyde, Luca Soul Rosenfeld, and Elijah J. Thomas.

Kelly has performed at notable clubs and venues such as the Kennedy Center, Blue Note, Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola, Birdland Theater, Apollo Theater, Minton's, Smalls Jazz Club, Mezzrow, Jazz Standard, 55 Bar, The Django, Zinc Bar, Fat Cat, B.B. Kings, The Bitter End, Sunset, Milano, Polytechno and Rockwood Music Hall among many other venues around the world.

She has performed in bands alongside jazz luminaries such as George Coleman, Christian McBride, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Jimmy Heath, Steve Nelson, Nat Reeves, Steve Williams, Bill Goodwin, Rich Perry, Winard Harper, Philip Harper, Steve Wilson, Stacy Dillard, Jonathan Barber, Josh Evans, Bruce Williams, Frank Lacy, TK Blue, James Zollar, Scott Robinson and Jovan Alexandre among others.

Tickets are $18 per show and available for purchase online.  A $60 Jazz Pass for all 5 Summer Jazz concerts at the Shea Center for the Arts is also available. Note: the Jazz Pass is only available for sale via phone or in person sales at the Box Office. Shea Center for Performing Arts is located on the campus of William Paterson University at 300 Pompton Road in Wayne New Jersey.

The 2024 Summer Jazz concerts series includes The Kelly Green Seems Quartet (July 22), Benny Benack with the Big Beat Big Band (July 23), Brian Lynch and Spheres of Influence (July 24), The Tia Fuller Trio (July 25), and Wycliffe Gordon and Friends (July 26).  All concerts begin at 7:00pm. The Shea Center for Performing Arts is an intimate 922-seat theater built in 1965. The theater boasts a customized, state-of-the-art sound system, computerized lighting system and a unique seating/stage configuration that ensures a close performer/audience connection.
