(NEWARK, NJ) -- In 2023, Clinton Hill Community Action, unveiled a groundbreaking initiative that would transform the cultural landscape of the South Ward. Season 1 of the ArtsXChange, a collaborative effort with the renowned NJPAC, marked a milestone in community engagement and creative expression. This innovative venture showcased the richness of our community, providing a platform for local talents and fostering an environment where creativity knows no bounds. From visual arts to live performances, the ArtsXChange brings the arts directly to the heart of our community.

Season 2 of the ArtsXchange, begins this week with “If It Had Not Been For Mother.'' Join them for an evening of music and history with American cultural Specialist Gwen Moten. Enjoy a specially curated version of Moten’s one woman show “From Birmingham to Botswana” that takes us through many of her musical influences, unique international experiences, and the impact of motherhood in this pre-Mother's Day treat!

The ArtsXChange is more than just a series of events; it's a celebration of community, innovation, and the transformative power of the arts.

Join them on Thursday, May 9, 2024 for another unforgettable night of art performances in Newark. The event will take place at The Clinton Hill Early Learning Center, 30 Demarest Street, Newark, NJ from 6:00pm-8:00pm. This event is free and open to the public.
