(PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Arts Council of Princeton (ACP) is partnering with West Windsor-based music studio Stibol Music to provide music lessons and special programming for the Princeton community.

Stibol Music is a creative development center for emerging musicians to expand their talents, collaborate with their creative peers, and heighten their musical enjoyment. To facilitate their growing lineup of offerings, Stibol will bring group lessons in both guitar and ukulele to the Arts Council’s space in Downtown Princeton, as well as a music and movement program for toddlers.

Group guitar lessons will begin April 17 and continue Wednesdays through May 22. Group ukulele lessons will be held on Saturdays from April 20 through May 25. Stibol Music will provide instruction and all instruments, as needed.

Also to be held on Wednesday and Saturday mornings is Musical Minds, a program for children and their caregivers designed to introduce music in a fun and engaging atmosphere. Led by a Stibol Music instructor, toddlers as young as nine months will enjoy sing-alongs, light musical theory instruction, dance, and games. Attendees can register for a six-class course or drop in to individual sessions.

In addition to ongoing lessons and toddler programs, ACP and Stibol Music will partner to provide musical experiences for the community, including a Pop-Up Drum Circle on Friday, March 29. This hand drum jam session will be led by owner Chris Stibol and instructor Tobias Richardson, who has returned to teaching at the studio after touring with Wu Tang Clan. 6:30pm-7:15pm. Tickets are $15.

"We are beyond excited to partner with the Arts Council of Princeton as our values align”, shares co-owners Laura and Chris Stibol. “At Stibol Music, we believe in the power and value of creative development and creating community through music. Our goal is to connect students of all ages and skill levels with caring instructors and fellow musicians to learn and grow together and have lots of fun along the way. While we have built our own little artistic community within our four walls, we are eager to integrate into the broader community with the ACP. We are stoked to offer group lessons and our Musical Minds program to our youngest musical explorers and their caregivers, adding to the Arts Council's already robust programming."

"We are thrilled to partner with this vibrant music studio to round out our performing arts opportunities”, echoes ACP Executive Director Adam Welch. “These programs for children and caregivers will be a game changer in developing the minds of children and presenting an opportunity for bonding and creative expression. I too look forward to some Pop-Up Drum Circles.”
