"Ramaavan – A Musical" was applauded by viewers in New York City and Jersey City (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Rimli Roy’s "Ramaavan - A Musical," concluded its ten-show run in Jersey City and New York City, leaving audiences eager for more. Commencing with a three day run at the NJCU Margaret Williams Theater in Jersey City from October 20 - 22, 2023, the production moved to the historic off-Broadway theater in Manhattan, at The American Theater of Actors - Cullum Theatre between October 25 - 29, 2023.
Lantern Theater Company presents "Crumbs from the Table of Joy" (PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Lantern Theater Company continues its 30th anniversary season with two-time Pulitzer Prize-winner Lynn Nottage's dramatic gem, Crumbs from the Table of Joy. Director Bianca LaVerne Jones makes her Lantern Theater Company debut, leading a cast of Philadelphia theater artists that includes Monet Debose, Walter DeShields, Morgan Charéce Hall, Hillary Parker, and Brett Ashley Robinson. The production runs Thursday, November 9 through Sunday, December 10, 2023, at St. Stephen’s Theater, the Lantern's resident venue.
Algonquin Arts Theatre presents "ELF: The Musical" (MANASQUAN, NJ) -- Algonquin Arts Theatre presents its holiday show, Elf: The Musical from December 2 through December 17, 2023. Based on the 2003 film, Elf: The Musical is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. Unaware that he is actually human, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father, discover his true identity, and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. PHOTOS from "Elling" at Catalyst Theater Company (PLAINFIELD, NJ) -- Catalyst Theater Company is presenting Elling, a life affirming comedy, across two weekends (November 3-5 and November 10-12, 2023) at duCret Center of Art in Plainfield. Elling is a 2007 theatrical adaption of the novel and film of the same name. Simon Bent adapted Ingvar Bjornsen's novel and the show was produced on both the West End and Broadway to critical acclaim. Photographer John Posada was on hand to take photos.

Princeton's High Meadows Environmental Institute, Lewis Center for the Arts & The Civilians announce The Next Forever inaugural artist commissions (PRINCETON, NJ) Princeton University's High Meadows Environmental Institute, Lewis Center for the Arts and The Civilians, a New York City-based theater company, announce the two inaugural artists of their new collaboration, The Next Forever, Kareem Fahmy and AriDy Nox. The Next Forever is a novel partnership that seeks to create new stories for a changing planet, exploring how dynamic storytelling can engage vital environmental subjects and provide the vision and inspiration society needs to navigate the challenges of our planet's future — the "next forever." The two artists will spend time on the Princeton University campus as guest artists, engage with faculty and students, and participate in an ongoing series of public events and performances over the course of a year-long residency and two-year commissioning agreement

Colossal Street Jam Releases New Single "No Way to Live" New Jersey rock band Colossal Street Jam has released their single, "No Way to Live," with Independent, taste-maker label, Fretbar Records. With soaring vocals from front-man Gene Potts, Hammond organ by Eric Safka, melodic guitar in the talented hands of Sal Marra, and a rhythmic foundation from Dave Halpern, this new release has a music video slated for release in late November, followed by the full album in 2024.

Jerry Seinfeld's Residency to Continue at Beacon Theatre (NEW YORK, NY) -- Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (MSG Entertainment) announced that legendary New Yorker and comedian Jerry Seinfeld will return to the historic Beacon Theatre, where he will resume his record-breaking residency with a brand-new show. The upcoming dates include: January 12 and 13; February 2 and 3; and March 8 and 9, 2024, with performances at 7:00pm and 9:30pm on all six nights.
