(WEST WINDSOR, NJ) -- For those who love to support the local economy and good causes when they shop for holiday gifts, West Windsor Arts presents its annual Off the Wall Holiday Market. The market highlights over 100 original and affordable artworks and hundreds of handcrafted items made by artisans including jewelry, accessories, ceramics, and one-of-a-kind items for the home. West Windsor Arts welcomes visitors to Off the Wall on select days from November 4 through December 18, 2023.

New this year is a special focus on supporting November as Arts and Health month. Shoppers can encourage healthy hearts with purchases from a special pop-up section of donated artwork.

Funds raised will support the construction of a new Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton. Supporting the construction of a cardiac catheterization lab at this local hospital is vital for several reasons. It ensures quicker and life-saving care for heart-related emergencies, reduces travel burdens for patients, contributes to the local economy, enhances overall healthcare quality, promotes health equity, facilitates prevention and early detection. By supporting this pop-up gallery, the community can invest in its health and well-being.

This project is a continuation of West Windsor Arts’ relationship with RWJBarnabas Health, Hamilton. In the past West Windsor Arts has collaborated on projects such as Art Kits for Cause and providing musicians to perform in their cancer treatment facility.

RWJBarnabas Health has a passion for heart health. With the largest combined adult and pediatric cardiac surgery program in the state, NJ’s only heart and lung transplant programs, a partnership with Rutgers Health, the latest technology and medical advancements and nationally-renowned care for every heart in every community. RWJBH brings their care team and knowledge by delivering specialized cardiovascular care close to home and family through NJ’s most comprehensive network of easily accessible hospitals, centers, and physician offices.

Artists donated work for this special fundraising project by taking on the challenge to create art with the theme of “Whoever your heart beats for, our hearts beat for you” (RWJBarnabas Health Cardiac Care). 100% of the artist’s portion of the sale will go to the Cardiac Care unit. This part of the Off the Wall Holiday Market opens on Sunday, Nov 19 and will be available throughout the show, while art lasts.
