Art House Productions Brings "Tracy Jones" to Life
 

"Tracy Jones" is a touching comedy of individual connection in an increasingly busy world. And the play will mark the first fully staged production in Arthouse Production's new space.

(NEW YORK, NY) -- Around the Sun, the award-winning episodic audio drama featuring award-winning talent from stage and screen will be launching Season 3 on October 18, 2023 with two new episodes, then episodes are scheduled to drop every two weeks throughout fall 2023 and into early 2024. Created by actor/writer/producer Brad Forenza, Around the Sun is a scripted audio series of self-contained stories with a theme. For Season 3 Forenza has started something new, each episode builds more of the story.

 



Luna Stage presents the World Premiere of "Westphalia"

McCarter Theatre Center and Crossroads4Hope: A Network of Cancer Support present "Our Cancer Stories"
 

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- McCarter Theatre Center, a renowned cultural institution, and Crossroads4Hope, a leading cancer support non-profit organization, present the return of "Our Cancer Stories" for its third year. This innovative and heartfelt collaboration brings together the healing power of the arts and the indomitable human spirit in a performance that honors the stories of individuals affected by cancer. For the first time, this moving theatrical experience will be performed in person at the McCarter Theatre Center's Berlind Rehearsal Room on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at 1:00pm, and is open to the public, free of charge.

The 12th Annual Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition Announces Top Five Finalists
 

(NEWARK, NJ) -- As part of NJPAC's TD James Moody Jazz Festival (November 3-19), the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) has announced the top five finalists of the 12th Annual Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition. Pulled from a record 280+ submissions representing 37 countries, these gifted young contestants from around the world represent the next generation of great jazz singers. The top five finalists are: Daryann Dean (Los Angeles, CA), Bianca Love (New Orleans, LA), Tyreek McDole (St. Cloud, FL), Ekep Nkwelle (Washington, DC), and Emma Smith (London, UK).

Baraka will host a roundtable discussion about the promise and power of guaranteed income as a policy solution on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at New Jersey Performing Arts Center's Victoria Theater. Newark's guaranteed income pilot program, the Newark Movement for Economic Equity, concludes later this month and the city recently released preliminary data from independent researchers showing its effectiveness.
