
(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Blue Curtain's 2023 summer series will culminate with an extraordinary performance by the legendary jazz bassist Rufus Reid & Expedition. This free concert will be held on Saturday, July 22 at 8:00pm at the Pettoranello Gardens Amphitheater in Community Park North (Route 206 and Mountain Ave.).
Rufus Reid is an iconic figure in the world of jazz, renowned for his exceptional talent as one of the most recorded jazz bassists in history. Throughout the course of his illustrious career, he has collaborated with numerous jazz luminaries, including Dexter Gordon, Stan Getz, Kenny Barron, Bobby Hutcherson, Mulgrew Miller, and many others.
For this concert, Rufus Reid will be performing with his quartet, which includes talented musicians including Roxy Coss on saxophone, Kenneth Salters on drums, Roberta Piket on Piano, and Freddie Hendrix on trumpet.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs, and blankets to enjoy this outdoor music experience at Pettoranello Gardens. The venue’s serene setting at Community Park North provides the ideal background for enjoying this performance.
