(ELIZABETH, NJ) -- The Elizabeth Tourism Office [EDMO] in collaboration with Munich Airport NJ LLC and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey [PANYNJ] held a tourism showcase inside Newark Liberty International Airport's Terminal A (Arrivals- Level 1, Door 2). This significant event took place on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 12:30pm to 5:30pm, enhancing passenger experience with a local flare. It was perfect timing last week for programming to help alleviate travel stresses from all the unfortunate flight delays and cancellations.
The Elizabeth tourism showcase was a significant milestone, which highlighted the "Welcome to the City of Elizabeth'' kiosk, a visible affirmation of Terminal A being inside the municipal boundaries of the City of Elizabeth. The tourism exhibitions promoted the vibrant city of Elizabeth as a “must-visit destination” for travelers. Located at EWR Terminal A (Arrivals), the kiosk serves as an informative and interactive gateway, providing visitors with valuable resources of things to do, maps, and recommendations on what to explore highlighting the city's rich heritage, cultural landmarks, recreational activities, and restaurants.
“This event commemorates a proud moment for every Elizabeth resident and business, having the privilege to share our story and experiences with tourists will truly enhance the airport passenger experiences while driving economic development into town," said Jennifer M. Costa, Executive Director of the Elizabeth Tourism Office.
Terminal A of EWR came to life, having given hundreds passengers an opportunity to explore the different exhibitions and engage in interactive displays, such as live painting meeting with local artists, musicians, and performances. This refreshingly unique experience offered visitors a taste of the city's vibrant culture, history, arts, shopping, dining & nightlife, taking Elizabeth’s tourism to another level.
