Winners Announced at 18th Annual Basie Awards Ceremony
 

(RED BANK, NJ) -- On May 24, 2023, the winners were announced at the annual Basie Awards, honoring excellence and achievement in Monmouth County high school theatre. This year's ceremony, presented by Bank of America, took place live at the historic Count Basie Center for the Arts, attracting a capacity crowd for what has become the biggest night of the year for area high school thespians.

 



The Ritz Theatre Company presents "I Hate Hamlet"
 

(HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ) -- The Ritz Theatre Company presents the comedy-drama play I Hate Hamlet from June 9-25, 2023. Dealing with a girlfriend who is keeping a firm grasp on her chastity, Andrew plays host to the ghost of John Barrymore (played by New York-based television and stage theater actor Peter Herrick), who, clothed as Hamlet, has come back to convince Rally to play the part!

American Repertory Ballet to Hold "James Bond-themed" Gala at NBPAC
 

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- American Repertory Ballet will host its annual fundraiser - a James Bond-themed "Gala Royale"- featuring a festive mix of world premieres, spectacular dancing, and casino excitement on Friday, June 9, 2023 at the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center. All proceeds from this fundraiser support the organization's artistic, educational, and community engagement programs, including over $250,000 in merit and need-based scholarships awarded to students each year.

Pro Arts Jersey City presents "Our Art Show"
