Two River Theater presents "Two Sisters and a Piano" (RED BANK, NJ) -- Two River Theater will conclude their 2022-2023 season with Two Sisters and a Piano, a passionate tale of revolution, art, and dreams written and directed by Pulitzer Prize-winner Nilo Cruz (Anna in the Tropics), running June 3-25, 2023 in the Joan and Robert Rechnitz Theater.

(NETCONG, NJ) -- The Growing Stage, The Children's Theatre of New Jersey, is presenting their final mainstage production of the 2022-2023 season, Don't Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus! The Musical! weekends through May 21. This production is even more fun than staying up late and having a hot dog party! It's not easy being the Pigeon-you never get to do ANYTHING! But when the Bus Driver has a crisis that threatens to make her passengers (gasp!) late, maybe that wily bird CAN do something. Photographer John Posada was on hand to take photos.
Lantern Theater Company Presents William Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night" (PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Lantern Theater Company concludes its 2022/23 season with Twelfth Night, part of the company's ongoing commitment to produce the timeless stories of William Shakespeare for both the general public and local school students. Featuring live original music composed by Barrymore Award-winner Christopher Colucci, the Lantern's production of Twelfth Night runs Thursday, May 18 through Sunday, June 18, 2023, at St. Stephen’s Theater, the Lantern's resident venue.
Westfield Community Players presents "The 39 Steps" (WESTFIELD, NJ) -- Westfield Community Players (WCP) closes out its season with The 39 Steps, A full-length comedy spoof, adapted by Patrick Barlow, from the novel by John Buchan City and the Alfred Hitchcock movie. Performances run on select days across two weekends (May 13 to May 27). In The 39 Steps, a man with a boring life meets a woman with a thick accent who says she's a spy. When he takes her home, she is murdered.
Center Players to Present Four New Short Plays, a live radio show, and voice over workshop (FREEHOLD, NJ) -- Center Players of Freehold has a number of events coming up at Center Playhouse, 35 South Street, Freehold, including a production of four new short plays; a Live Classic Radio Show, and a VOICE-OVER Workshop hosted by Abacus Entertainment.

A Special Night: Lotus at the Capitol Theater Two days before Chuck & Charley Morris (Lotus' percussionist and his son) disappeared on Beaver Lake in Benton County Arkansas I had a nightmare. I was rolling over and over uncontrollably in the dream and it almost felt I was drowning. I woke up in a panic overwhelmed by how real that dream felt. Little did I know that shortly ahead my joy for music, specifically for Lotus would suffer a similar faith as in my nightmare.

Prudential Foundation Awards Major Grant Support to NJ Arts and Culture Renewal Fund (LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ) -- The New Jersey Arts and Culture Renewal Fund (NJACRF), received an $815,000 grant from the Prudential Foundation to continue its work to fill a critical funding gap for smaller nonprofit arts and culture organizations across the state.
Events at MPAC throughout June 2023 (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) closes out its 2022-2023 season in June with a variety of concerts and free events. The month kicks off with four performances of MPAC's spring production of Matilda the Musical and includes concerts by Three Dog Night, Bruce Hornsby, Almost Queen, Happy Together, and Rufus Wainwright; Manhattan Comedy Night, free summer concerts and more.
