Wednesday, May 3, 2023 - Stephane Wrembel presents the 20th anniversary of his Django A Gogo Music Festival in Maplewood and NYC. (MAPLEWOOD, NJ) -- Guitarist/composer/teacher, Stephane Wrembel, will present his annual Django A Gogo Music Festival from May 3 through May 6 celebrating the music of legendary jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt. The festival includes 4 different live concerts – 3 at The Woodland in Maplewood, NJ, and the main event at The Town Hall in NYC -- and an intensive "guitar and violin camp."

Wednesday, May 3, 2023 - Broadway Star N'Kenge to Host Benefit for the Youth Foundation of Jersey City. (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Tony, Grammy, and Emmy-nominated vocalist N'Kenge will bring her talents from Broadway to Jersey City for a good cause. On May 3, she will host the second annual "A Night of Broadway," a benefit concert featuring artists based in Jersey City, to support the Youth Foundation of Jersey City. The event will commence at 6:00pm (5:00pm for VIP reception) at the Grace Van Vorst Church, 39 Erie Street in Jersey City.

Thursday, May 4, 2023 - The Center for the Arts @ NJCU presents SciFi Ensemble. (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- The Center for the Arts at New Jersey City University presents SciFi Ensemble on Thursday, May 4th at 7:30pm. SciFi Ensemble is a string quartet with percussion specialized in movie and video game music. It combines music and body make-up in the same show, creating a fresh, genuine, and fun experience for all audiences. An original show with exclusive arrangements and a multidisciplinary artistic team form the basis of this unique project.

Thursday, May 4, 2023 - RVCC Student Jazz Ensemble to Perform May Concert. (BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Raritan Valley Community College's (RVCC) Student Jazz Ensemble will perform in concert Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 7:30pm. The event, which is open to the public, will be held in the Welpe Theatre at the College's Branchburg campus. The ensemble will perform pieces by a variety of jazz artists including Charlie Parker and Horace Silver, as well as familiar selections from the Great American Songbook. All of these performances will feature spontaneous improvisations by student musicians.

Friday, May 5, 2023 - bergenPAC presents Quiet Riot with Vixen. (ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) is bringing hard rock back into the fold in 2023. The multi-platinum selling, first-ever heavy metal band with a #1 Billboard album, Quiet Riot, will be joined by the hitmaking all-female, 80s hard rock band, Vixen, on May 5, 2023 at 8:00pm. A concert made for the MTV generation; these bands are still rocking with over 2 million monthly Spotify listeners.

Friday, May 5, 2023 - Bamboozle Festival to Take Place May 5-7 in Atlantic City. (ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- Bamboozle Festival has announced the performers to this year’s line up, who will be taking the stage May 5th, 6th, and 7th at Bader Field in Atlantic City, NJ. The weekend-long party marks the first Bamboozle Festival since 2012, and celebrates 20 years since its initial inception.

Friday, May 5, 2023 - Warren Zanes: "Finding Nebraska" comes to Montclair. (MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Succeed2gether's Montclair Literary Festival and Outpost in the Burbs invites you to spend the evening "Finding Nebraska", a words-and-music show about one man's love affair with Bruce Springsteen's album Nebraska on Friday, May 5 at 7:00pm. Combining storytelling and performance, author Warren Zanes will be joined by guests including Laura Cantrell and James Maddock, all backed by a house band featuring David Mansfield, Ray Kubian, and Chris Harford.

Friday, May 5, 2023 - Sherman Theater presents The Spill Canvas on May 5th. (STROUDSBURG, PA) -- Veteran Emo band The Spill Canvas hits the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg on May 5 with The Color Fred, Don't Panic, The Maguas and FloorSpace.

Friday, May 5, 2023 - Matt O'Ree Band to Perform at The Stone Pony on May 5th. (ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Jersey Shore guitar hero Matt O'Ree is throwing a big hometown summer tour kick-off party at The Stone Pony on Friday, May 5, 2023. The Matt O'Ree Band (MOB) will be joined by Matt's good friend and musical collaborator David Bryan (from Bon Jovi) and Layonne Holmes along with surprise guests. MOB plays a two hour plus concert set at 9:00pm sharp. Hooper and Indigo Sky open the show starting at 7:00pm.

Saturday, May 6, 2023 - Monmouth University Center for the Arts presents An Evening with Cowboy Junkies. (WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- Monmouth University Center for the Arts presents An Evening with Cowboy Junkies on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 8:00pm. The show takes place in the Pollak Theatre. Tickets range from $38-$58.

Saturday, May 6, 2023 - At The Tabernacle presents Willie Nile & Graham Parker. (MT. TABOR, NJ) -- At The Tabernacle presents Willie Nile & Graham Parker on Saturday, May 6 at 7:30pm. Two icons in one night for a special At The Tabernacle co-bill. Two of the leanest and meanest artists who laid the groundwork for the post-punk age, both perform with the passionate stage attack that taps the urgency and energy of punk and new wave with the polish and finesse of classic rock’s best writers and singer-songwriters. Willie and Graham’s songbooks are still full of melodic hooks that are as sharp and dramatic as their words. Two stars in one night on one stage!

(CAMDEN, NJ) -- New Jersey-based professional training orchestra Symphony in C concludes its 2022-23 season with Mendelssohn Italian Symphony on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 8:00pm at the Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts in Camden, New Jersey.

Saturday, May 6, 2023 - Muddy Waters Gastropub presents Regina Bonelli. (ASBURY, NJ) -- NY Blues Hall of Fame member Regina Bonelli is coming to Muddy Waters Gastropub on Saturday, May 6, 2023 and it is going to be a night to remember. Showtime is 8:30pm.

Saturday, May 6, 2023 - OCC Concert Band Presents The All-American Music Festival on Saturday. (TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- The Ocean County College Concert Band will present The All-American Music Festival on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 7:00pm at The Grunin Center for the Arts, located on the college's main campus on College Drive. Tickets are $20 adults / $18 seniors / $10 children.

Sunday, May 7, 2023 - The Adelphi Orchestra presents Brahms & Dvorak in Fair Lawn and NYC. (FAIR LAWN, NJ) -- The Adelphi Orchestra continues its 69th Season of "Music for All" with Brahms & Dvorak. The concert is under the baton of maestro Scott Jackson Wiley and features violin virtuoso Sophia Werner (the first prize winner of the 2022 Adelphi Orchestra Competition) in Brahms Concerto for Violin in D major. Also on the program is Mendelssohn's: Hebrides Overture "Fingal's Cave" and Dvorak: Symphony no 7 in D minor. Performances take place Sunday, May 7th at 4:00pm at the Fair Lawn Community Theater in Fair Lawn, New Jersey and Saturday, May 13th at 2:00pm at the Broadway Presbyterian Church in New York City.

Sunday, May 7, 2023 - Music at Bunker Hill presents the Music of Amanda Harberg and Poulenc on May 7th. (SEWELL, NJ) -- The final concert in Music at Bunker Hill's Season 15 takes place Sunday, May 7th at 3:00pm and features composer Amanda Harberg and Philadelphia Orchestra members Erica Peel, Philippe Tondre, Paul Demers, Jennifer Montone; and bassoonist Adrian Morejon. Works include sonatas and ensembles by Harberg and Poulenc, concluding with Poulenc's Sextet for woodwind quintet and piano.

Sunday, May 7, 2023 - MPAC presents The Trifecta of Folk on May 7th. (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Three groups at the center of the 1960s Folk Revival continue to delight fans with their smooth musical sounds. The Kingston Trio ("Where Have All the Flowers Gone," "Tom Dooley"), The Brothers Four ("Try to Remember") and The Limeliters ("Take My True Love by the Hand") perform as the Trifecta of Folk at Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) on Sunday, May 7 at 3:00pm. Tickets range from $39-$79.

Sunday, May 7, 2023 - Hoboken Spring Arts & Music Festival to Take Place May 7th. (HOBOKEN, NJ) -- The Hoboken Spring Arts & Music Festival takes place on Sunday, May 7, from 11:00am to 6:00pm. The festival, featuring displays and sales by artists, crafters, food vendors, and local businesses, will occur on Washington Street between Observer Highway and Seventh Street.  This year Joe McGinty and The Loser's Lounge will close out the festival on the Observer Highway stage playing favorite songs and deep cuts from the incredible catalog of The Kinks, and the songwriting genius of Ray Davies.

Sunday, May 7, 2023 - Voices in Harmony Showcase for Students with Special Needs Returns to bergenPAC for the First Time in Three Years. (ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- After a three-year hiatus, The Performing Arts School at bergenPAC is excited to announce the return of Voices in Harmony – an awe-inspiring celebration on the bergenPAC stage featuring singers, musicians and dancers from schools serving students with special needs performing. The production will be on Sunday, May 7 at 3:00pm. This will be the fourth rendition of the show after the pandemic forced a pause and include students from private and public schools across the region. The public is invited to attend.

Sunday, May 7, 2023 - State Theatre New Jersey presents STYX. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The fully renovated State Theatre New Jersey presents STYX on Sunday, May 7 at 7:30pm. The six men comprising Styx have committed to rocking the Paradise together with audiences far and wide by entering their second decade of averaging over 100 shows a year, and each one of them is committed to making the next show better than the last. Styx draws from over four decades of barn burning chart hits, joyous singalongs, and hard-driving deep cuts. Tickets range from $59-$129.

Sunday, May 7, 2023 - Guitarist Diego Figueiredo and Trumpeter Warren Vache at May Jersey Jazz LIVE! in Madison. (MADISON, NJ) -- On March 17 at the Sarasota Jazz Festival, guitarist Diego Figueiredo joined with legendary pianist Dick Hyman to electrify the crowd with duo versions of three Antonio Carlos Jobim tunes, along with Jerome Kern's "All the Things You Are", the traditional Irish folk song, "Danny Boy", and Ernesto Lecuona's "Malaguena". For good measure, Figueiredo added a solo performance of Zequinha de Abreu's "Tico Tico".

Sunday, May 7, 2023 - Jimmy Webb Presents His Tribute to Glen Campbell on May 7 at The Vogel in Red Bank. With songs like "Up, Up and Away” and "MacArthur Park,” Jimmy Webb has proven himself to be one of the greatest American songwriters of the past half-century. Some of his most memorable songs, however — "By the Time I Get to Phoenix," "Galveston,” "Wichita Lineman,” and more — have come about as a result of his musical affiliation with legendary singer Glen Campbell.
