Friday, May 5, 2023 at 8:00pm - John Pizzarelli Big Band Swings in Tribute to Bucky. Guitarist and singer John Pizzarelli is one of the leading interpreters of the Great American Songbook. John returns to MPAC with his quartet and a 13-piece big band in a tribute to his father, legendary jazz guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli. Tickets range from $39-$79.
Sunday, May 7, 2023 at 3:00pm - Trifecta of Folk: The Kingston Trio, The Brothers Four and The Limeliters. Three groups at the center of the 1960s Folk Revival continue to delight fans with their smooth musical sounds: The Kingston Trio (“Where Have All the Flowers Gone,” “Tom Dooley”), The Brothers Four (“Try to Remember”) and The Limeliters (“Take My True Love by the Hand”). Guided by a storyteller, the audience will take an engaging trip through the classic fairy tale of The Sleeping Beauty, set to the beautiful score by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, with the dancers of NJ Ballet bringing the characters to life.
