"Khan!!! The Musical!" Set to Open in May (NEW YORK, NY) -- PEEKSKILL PRODUCTIONS has announced the world premiere production of KHAN!!! THE MUSICAL!: A Parody Trek-tacular, co-written, composed, and lyrics by Brent Black, co-conceived and additional materials by Alina Morgan, directed by John Lampe. KHAN!!! THE MUSICAL will play a five-week limited engagement at Off-Broadway’s Players Theatre (115 MacDougal St, New York, NY 10012). Performances begin Thursday, May 4, and continue through Sunday, June 4. Opening Night is Saturday, May 6 (7:00pm).

The BCA theatre department presented this beloved music from March 2-4 and photographer John Posada was on hand to take photos.
PHOTOS from "Seussical" at Middletown Arts Center (MIDDLETOWN, NJ) --The MAC PLAYERS, Middletown Arts Center’s community theater group, is kicking off its 2023 season with Seussical, a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Fun for the whole family, Seussical creates the witty, wild and whimsical world of Dr. Seuss as it has never been seen before. When chaos erupts in the Jungle of Nool, it will take The Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz and a gaggle of characters to bring harmony back to their world. NJRep Launches Adult Education Classes for Acting and Playwriting (LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- New Jersey Repertory Company “NJRep”, located at 179 Broadway in Long Branch, is proud to announce the launch of their Adult Education program with two classes designed to offer adults the opportunity to expand their theatrical enjoyment. Beginning May 16 and running until July 11, (no class on July 4) these 8-week sessions are designed to allow each student to work at their own pace regardless of experience. Students at all levels are welcome and encouraged to attend. Classes will be held at West End Arts at 132 West End Avenue, Long Branch. Parking is free.
Algonquin Arts Theatre Announces Cast and Creative for "Kinky Boots" (MANASQUAN, NJ) -- Algonquin Arts Theatre (Pamela Ward-Executive Director) is proud to announce the cast and creative team for its spring musical, Kinky Boots. The show will run at Algonquin Arts Theatre from March 24-April 2. Kinky Boots is the winner of every major Best Musical award, including the Tony, the Grammy and London's Olivier Award. Based on the 2005 film of the same title and true events, this huge-hearted hit tells the story of two people with nothing in common - or so they think!

Centenary Stage Company presents Divas of Soul starring CeCe Teneal (HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Divas of Soul starring CeCe Teneal will be coming to Centenary Stage Company on March 18 at 8:00pm. This performance will take place in The Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center on the campus of Centenary University at 715 Grand Avenue, Hackettstown, NJ. Chris Rockwell Collective presents: Hello Nasty 25th Anniversary - A Tribute to Beastie Boys You read that correctly. It's been twenty five years since the now Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees released their seminal album Hello Nasty, which not only went multi-platinum internationally, but took home two trophies at the 41st Grammy Awards. A landmark for alternative music, Hello Nasty blended genres and bridged two eras of music together. And all of this is being celebrated live on stage March 31st at House of Independents in Asbury Park.
Westminster Choir spring tour includes performances with the Pittsburgh Symphony (LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ) -- The Westminster Choir will embark on a spring tour in Ohio and Pennsylvania from March 12-18. The tour includes an appearance by the choir's tenors and basses with the Pittsburgh Symphony as well as a concert at the choir's founding church in Dayton, Ohio.

Atlantic City Arts Foundation issues Request for Proposals: The Mural at Cardinal (ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- The Mural at Cardinal will be a 5,000-square-foot building wrap, reflecting the progression of the seasons throughout the year with each face of the building dedicated to a season. It will be the first touchpoint for diners, expressing the concept of nature overtaking the industrial world and the restaurant's seasonal farm-to-table menu. The Atlantic City Arts Foundation seeks artists near and far to apply to create this massive mural.

"Les Paul Thru the Lens" Exhibition Comes to Monmouth University (WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- The Les Paul Foundation, whose mission includes honoring and sharing the life, spirit and legacy of Les Paul presents "Les Paul Thru the Lens," an exclusive traveling gallery of photos highlighting the life and career of Les Paul, the inventor, musician and icon. The exhibition comes to Monmouth University's Pollak Gallery on March 20th and runs through May 31, 2023.

Princeton Makes and Ragged Sky Press present Second Sunday Poetry Reading featuring Liz Chang and Bernadette McBride (PRINCETON, NJ) -- Princeton Makes, a Princeton-based artist cooperative, and Ragged Sky Press, a local publisher focused on poetry, will host a Second Sunday Poetry Reading on Sunday, March 12 at 4:00pm. The readings will take place at the Princeton Makes store in the Princeton Shopping Center. The February reading will feature Liz Chang and Bernadette McBride. Their readings will be followed by an open mic available to up to 10 audience members who would like to read their original poetry.

Ramapo College of New Jersey Awarded the 2022 ALL IN Highly Established Action Plan Seal (MAHWAH, NJ) -- The ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge (ALL IN) announced that Ramapo College has been awarded a Highly Established Action Plan Seal, one of only two 4-year colleges in New Jersey. This seal is awarded to campuses that have worked to increase nonpartisan democratic engagement and graduate engaged voters by building a strong nonpartisan action plan. ALL IN and the American Democracy Project, Campus Vote Project, NASPA Lead Initiative, and the Students Learn Students Vote Coalition created the Strengthening American Democracy Guide to help guide campuses on their journey to graduate democratically engaged students by building effective action plans. The Highly Established Action Plan Seal recognizes campuses that score at least 31.5 out of 36 possible points on the Strengthening American Democracy rubric.
Stockton University Appoints Joe Bertolino Next President (GALLOWAY, NJ) -- Dr. Joe Bertolino will become the next president of Stockton University on July 1, 2023. The university’s Board of Trustees appointed Bertolino at a special meeting Friday, following a national search.
