“Tradition. Without our traditions, our lives would be as shaky as… as a fiddler on the roof!”
(HACKENSACK, NJ) -- Students from all over Bergen County performed in Fiddler On The Roof, the winter musical at Bergen County Academies. The BCA theatre department presented this beloved music from March 2-4 and photographer John Posada was on hand to take photos.
This classic musical is set in the year 1905. With witty humor, the play follows Tevye and the tale of the villagers of Anatevka as they struggle to find their place in the modern, evolving world while clinging to the safety of their “Traditions!” This universal story is widely accepted to be one of the greatest musicals of all time because of its popular music, emotional plot, and loveable characters.
Bergen County Academies, ranked one of the top public high schools in the nation, is divided into seven unique “academies.” The Academy of Visual and Performing Arts - Theatre Concentration (AVPA-T) provides significant opportunities for all students to develop imaginative, technical, and performance skills as well as a sophisticated appreciation of the work of the theatre artist.
