Nicky Silver Play Reading and Billy Martin Solo Show Start Things Off At Black Box's New Englewood Location

Algonquin Arts Theatre Creates Game to Guess 2023-24 Broadway Series
 

(MANASQUAN, NJ) -- Algonquin Arts Theatre released a series of eight images on February 7th for fans to try and guess their 2023-2024 Broadway Series titles. The theatre will randomly chose a winner of two tickets for their May production of Hello Dolly! from their social media platforms among fans that can guess at least one of the productions. 

 



"Cats" National Tour comes to MPAC
 

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- One of the biggest hits in theatrical history, Cats will come to Morristown’s Mayo Performing Arts Center from Friday, March 10 – Sunday, March 12. Composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and based on T.S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, the record-breaking musical spectacular has captivated audiences in over 30 countries and 15 languages, and is now on tour across North America!

 



NJ Rep presents "The Rosenberg/Strange Fruit Project"
 

(LONG BRANCH, NJ) -- New Jersey Repertory Company (NJ Rep) presents The Rosenberg/Strange Fruit Project written by Award-winning actorplaywright John Jiler and directed by Margarett Perry from March 9 to April 2, 2023. The play stars John Jiler and clarinetist, Lee Odom.  The play tells the remarkable story of the youngest child of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg.

Tim McLoone's Supper Club presents An Evening with Chris Pinnella
 

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- On Thursday, February 9th join powerhouse vocalist Chris Pinnella (formerly of Trans-Siberian Orchestra) + his 10-Piece Orchestra for an all new evening of Classics Reimagined at Tim McLoone’s Supper Club in Asbury Park. The night will showcase an electric list of songs that have stood the test of time plus some new classics as well. Showtime is 7:00pm.

 



Skinny Puppy to Celebrate 40th Anniversary with Final Tour
 

In celebration of their 40th anniversary, Skinny Puppy will hit the road for the Skinny Puppy: Final Tour featuring special guest Lead Into Gold. Produced by Live Nation, the tour kicks off on April 6 at Aztec Theater in San Antonio making stops across the U.S. in Atlanta, New York, Denver and more before wrapping up in Seattle at Neptune on May 9.

 



State Theatre presents Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine
 

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents Hope for Ukraine featuring Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine on Friday, February 17 at 7:30pm. The Hope for Ukraine: Classical Season Celebration includes a pre-show cocktail party, tickets to the performance, and a post-show reception.

RVCC Music Faculty to Present Department's Annual Recital
 

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Raritan Valley Community College’s Arts & Design Department will present the annual Music Faculty Recital on Sunday, February 26 at 2:30pm in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus. The program will be coordinated by John Sichel, Professor of Music. Featured music faculty will include Jeremy Sweet, piano (Branchburg); John Loehrke, bass (New York City); Oliver Perez, saxophone (Carteret); John Sichel, piano (Mountainside); and Eldad Tarmu, vibraphone (Union City).

The ShowRoom to Screen Romance Classic for Valentine's Day
 

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- The ShowRoom Cinema will present a one night only screening of the 1942 film Now, Voyager on Tuesday, February 14th at 7:30pm. In the film, a woman suffers a nervous breakdown and an oppressive mother before being freed by the love of a man she meets on a cruise.

 



Funny animation Sucks to be the Moon screens at the 2023 New Jersey Film Festival on Friday, February 10!
 

Creators, Eric Paperth and Tyler March, pack loads of humor, creativity, and technical personality into their animated musical Sucks to be the Moon. The film follows the Moon who feels rejected by Earth and all of its inhabitants who express nothing but hatred towards the lunar loner. After living in the sun’s shadow for too long, the moon decides to leave its orbit and venture out into the solar system to find a new home, coming across the rest of the planets in the solar system. The story is incredibly comedic and entertaining, and it feels as if it goes by very fast in the best way possible.
