(SURF CITY, NJ) -- There will be a hot time in Surf City on Thursday, December 8th, when the firemen of Surf City’s Volunteer Fire Company take on Wally’s restaurant for the bragging rights of who makes LBI’s best-tasting chili. Attendees are invited to sample up to five varieties; including beef, vegan, red and white bean chilis, and then vote for their favorites. The event starts at 6:30pm.

After the votes are tabulated and winners announced, the audience will settle back for the screening of DASHCAM,  a super-slick 80-minute thriller sure to keep them on the edge of their seats.

Produced and directed by Christian Nilsson and staring Eric Tabach, DASHCAM is a psychological thriller—inspired by films like Blow Up, The Conversation and Klute—that follows a young TV news editor as he gets entangled in a cover-up at the highest levels of his city’s government.

Advance reservations strongly encouraged as seating is limited.

“Inspired by Antonioni's Blow-Up, Brian De Palma's Blow Out, and Francis Ford Coppola's The ConversationDASHCAM is a stunning psychological thriller that follows Jake (Eric Tabach, "Blue Bloods”) a timid video editor at a local news channel who fantasizes about becoming a reporter. While editing a piece on a routine traffic stop that resulted in the death of a police officer and a major political official (Larry Fessenden, Dementer, Jakob's Wife), Jake is inadvertently sent dashcam video evidence that tells a completely different story. Working alone in his small apartment, Jake uses his skills as an editor to analyze the footage and piece together the truth behind what actually happened. Has Jake uncovered a conspiracy that he can break on the morning news? Or is he seeing things that aren't really there?” Rotten Tomatoes (Score of 89 on the Tomatometer)
