1) George Street Playhouse Announces Cast for "Joy the Musical" - (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- George Street Playhouse has announced the full cast as first rehearsals kick-off today for the world premiere production Joy the Musical starring Erika Henningsen at New Brunswick Performing Arts Center. The musical is based on the life of Joy Mangano and her book Inventing Joy: Dare to Build a Brave and Creative Life.  Performances begin December 7th and continue through December 30th.  Tickets are now on sale.

2) PHOTOS from "The Rocky Horror Show" at Music Mountain Theatre - On October 28th and 29th, The Rocky Horror Show returned to Music Mountain Theatre in Lambertville, NJ for two sold-out performances. Photographer John Posada was on hand to take photos.

5) UCC's Harvest Fest Reaches Hundreds of Newarkers With Free Coats, Costumes, Food, Resources - (NEWARK, NJ) -- United Community Corporation’s Harvest Fest on October 26th did more than lift the spirits of Newark families with live entertainment and treats. It also served hundreds of community members with vital resources.

6) Painting of Mural Celebrating Black Women Suffragists and Black Women Launches in Englewood - (ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- The Northern New Jersey Community Foundation's (NNJCF) ArtsBergen announces the launch of the painting of "The Black Women's Mural: Celebrating Black Suffragists and Black Women in Englewood" on the Women's Rights Information Center's building, located at 108 W. Palisade Avenue in downtown Englewood, New Jersey.  The mural uses the design input from Black women in the city and the larger community.

8) Newark Black Film Festival Presents a Screening of "Nanny" - (NEWARK, NJ) -- Join the Newark Museum of Art for a special screening of Nanny, the winner of this year’s Grand Jury Prize at Sundance, on Wednesday, November 9 at 7:00pm. Nanny is a gem of a horror film that combines impressive filmmaking and powerful storytelling. The 19-date tour will find Harrison and Belew performing songs from this monumental period of the band’s history alongside a powerhouse band, including former members of Turkuaz, Julie Slick on bass, and Yahuba Garcia-Torres on percussion. Local shows taking place in 2023 include Sunday, March 5th at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville; Tuesday, March 7th at Keswick Theatre in Philadelphia; and Thursday, March 9th at Sony Hall in New York City.

12) Sussex County Community College Presents the Fall Play "Everybody" by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins - (NEWTON, NJ) -- A true a luck of the draw, the Visual and Performing Arts Department at Sussex County Community College will take its audience on a journey of a lifetime in the upcoming Fall production of “Everybody” by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins. A 2018 Pulitzer Prize finalist, “Everybody” takes a modern riff on the fifteenth-century morality play, “Everyman.” The comedic-drama follows Everybody as they journey through life’s greatest mystery—the meaning of living. 

13) Jackson Pines To Headline Stone Pony w/ Friends on November 5th - On Saturday, November 5th, my band Jackson Pines will headline the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ for the first time.
