(CARTERET, NJ) -- Mayor Daniel J. Reiman and Carteret Borough Council will present the annual Carteret Fall Festival and Halloween Parade on Saturday, October 29 at Carteret Park. The Fall Fest is a long-standing tradition in Carteret held throughout Mayor’s Administration.
“We are proud to offer family-friendly events and festivals throughout the year,” Mayor Reiman said. “Fall Fest features free family activities that are traditional for the autumn season. We are also proud to host our Annual Carteret Holiday Festival in December, Carteret Independence Day Festival in July, Latin Fest in July, and our traditional Ethnic Day Festival in September. Carteret is truly a destination for families year-round.”
The Festival, which runs noon to 2:00pm, will feature pumpkin picking, face painting, a moon bounce, cider, cookies, candy, guess the weight of the giant pumpkin, prizes, live and DJ music, and the annual Children’s Halloween Parade. The Parade lineup begins at 11:30am on the corner of Cypress Street and Washington Avenue. The parade route is Cypress Street to Carteret Avenue.
Mayor Reiman and the Borough Council also are offering a Halloween House Decorating Contest. Participants submitted a picture of their decorated home to the recreation department. A winner will be announced on November 1.
