South Camden Theatre Company presents "Incorruptible"
 

(CAMDEN, NJ) -- South Camden Theatre Company presents Incorruptible by Michael Hollinger weekends from October 28 to November 13 at their home base, the Waterfront South Theatre. Incorruptible is a hysterically funny dark comedy about the dark ages.”

(WEST ORANGE, NJ) -- Luna Stage is presenting the World Premiere of Zachary Elkind’s new adaptation of Shakespeare’s Richard II from October 20 to November 13 on the MainStage. Streamlined to a fleet 90 minutes, the play features four actors playing 16 roles, and highlights the humor and urgency of this taut, intimate, heartbreakingly political tragedy. Paper Mill Playhouse announces cast for "The Sound of Music"
 

(MILLBURN, NJ) -- Paper Mill Playhouse has announced casting for The Sound of Music, directed by Mark S. Hoebee.  The show will begin performances at Paper Mill Playhouse on Friday, December 2 and play through Sunday, January 1, 2023. Opening night is set for Sunday, December 4.

(PLAINFIELD, NJ) -- The Catalyst Theater Company presents Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens at the duCret School of Art in Plainfield with performances on October 20-22, and October 27-29. The show will finally debut after a long awaited hiatus due to Covid with a special pre show cabaret every night.  Photographer John Posada was on hand to take photos.

 



State Theatre New Jersey presents "Tootsie"
 

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The newly renovated State Theatre New Jersey presents the hilarious Tony Award®-winning musical, Tootsie, for four performances from November 4-6. Call it “musical comedy heaven” (Rolling Stone). Dr. David Podles to Offer Musical Global Tour at Ocean County Library Long Beach Island Branch
 

(SURF CITY, NJ) -- All aboard for a tuneful tour of the far corners of the Earth. Acclaimed concert violinist Dr. David Podles will present a “Musical Odyssey of Exotic Lands” at the Ocean County Library Long Beach Island Branch on Saturday, November 5. The event begins at 2:30pm. 

 



VampireFreaks Announces Dark Force Fest: Three-Day Goth-Industrial Music Festival
 

(PARSIPPANY, NJ) -- Dark Force Fest is the gathering of top international gothic and industrial bands including classic favorite bands and newly trending artists.  Dark Force Fest takes place March 31- April 2, 2023 in Parsippany, NJ, where they take over the massive Sheraton Parsippany, including 44,000 square feet of event space and all 370 hotel rooms. The hotel rooms in the main venue sold out within days of announcing this festival, but there are still overflow hotels in the area.

 



Medeski Martin & Wood's Billy Martin to Perform 2nd Solo Show at Black Box PAC

Debonair Music Hall presents The Dangerous Summer
 

(TEANECK, NJ) -- The Dangerous Summer is back with a headlining tour this fall in support of their new album ‘Coming Home’ via Rude Records. On Friday, November 18th, the band comes to Teaneck's Debonair Music Hall with special guests Like Pacific and My Kid Brother. Doors open at 6:00, showtime is 7:00pm.

 



Evening of Favorite Broadway Hits to be Presented at RVCC Theatre

Newton Theatre presents Man in Black: A Tribute to Johnny Cash
 

(NEWTON, NJ) -- On Friday, February 10, 2023, The Newton Theatre presents Man in Black: A Tribute to Johnny Cash featuring Shawn Barker. Born and raised in a working class suburb of St. Louis, Barker took a schoolboy love for singing in church with his family and turned it into a career, a one of a kind tribute to Johnny Cash, one of America’s greatest musical icons. Showtime is 8:00pm.

 



MPAC presents The Rascals featuring Felix Cavaliere & Gene Cornish
 

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- The next chapter of The Rascals is about to begin – two of the founders of the legendary rock ‘n’ roll band are once again taking to the stage to continue their legacy that started 57 years ago.  The Rascals bring their Time Peace Tour to Mayo Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, November 16 at 7:30pm. 2022 Rutgers Jewish Film Festival Preview
 

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- Tickets are now on sale for the 23rd annual Rutgers Jewish Film Festival, which will be held from Sunday, October 30, through Sunday, November 13. A diverse array of award-winning international feature and documentary films are showcased this year from the United States, Israel, Germany, France, Spain, Poland, Italy, and Belgium, as well as engaging discussions with filmmakers and special guests. Of the seventeen films being shown, one is a U.S. premiere, two are East Coast premieres, and nine are NJ premieres. 

 



The Rocky Horror Picture Show is Back and So Are Its Wild Fans
 

The Rocky Horror Picture Show movie is a national phenomenon, a cult class, movie milestone – call it what you will. Every Halloween, many theaters throughout the county host a wild, wild party along with a late-night screening of the movie as Halloween and horror extravaganza. Bright colors are everywhere at the party – yellow, flame red, passionate pink. Lots of loud noise, too – shouting and cheering. One of the most successful is at the State Theatre New Jersey in New Brunswick, which holds its party/movie on this Saturday, October 22. The party starts at 9:00pm and the film goes on at 11:00pm. The Rocky Horror extravaganza is incredibly popular, with as many as 1,200 people attending one of the shows at the State Theatre.

Montreal Beach Resort Goes to the Dogs with Annual Dogs-Only Pool Party to Raise Money for Animal Outreach of Cape May County
 

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- Montreal Beach Resort (1025 Beach Avenue) is going to the dogs - literally. A beloved and cherished Cape May tradition is back after a pandemic break. Montreal Beach Resort's Doggie Day Pool Pawty returns on Sunday, October 30, 2022, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. Years ago, after uneventfully closing their pool each season, the owners decided that it would be fun for one day a year to let the pups jump in for a dip. Over the years this fun way to close the season turned into a larger community tradition that now raises money for the Animal Outreach of Cape May. Madison Resorts and new owner Dan Alicea bring back the event and want to carry on the tradition after a two year break.

(ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- The stars and spotlights shine brightly at the Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC)! Educate; Black Women Leading the Change" panel to discuss the political and social impact of Black Women in society and voting as a tool to transform communities from the lens of Black Women. The virtual panel will take place on October 24th, 2022 at 7:00pm as part of the next PSEG True Diversity Film Series event.

 



Hoboken Celebrates Marsha P. Johnson on Sunday
 

(HOBOKEN, NJ) -- Join the Hoboken Historical Museum on Sunday, October 23 at 3:00pm at 1301 Hudson for a special performance event celebrating Marsha P. Johnson, the late drag queen and gay rights activist. Born Malcolm Michaels Jr. in Elizabeth, NJ, Marsha was a living, shining example of 'radical self-expression,' long before Burning Man popularized the phrase. The last 12 years of Johnson’s life were spent in Hoboken living with Randy Wicker in Marine View Plaza. Johnson died in 1992, and has since become a symbol and inspiration within the LGBTQ+ community and beyond.
