(PLAINFIELD, NJ) -- The Catalyst Theater Company presents Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens at the duCret School of Art in Plainfield with performances on October 20-22, and October 27-29. The show will finally debut after a long awaited hiatus due to Covid with a special pre show cabaret every night. Photographer John Posada was on hand to take photos.
As the show’s story unfolds we are set in Saucy Jack's dead-end dive bar, in a far corner of the sleazy side of the galaxy. The bar's patrons, performers and local criminal undesirables dream of getting out of town: however, bar owner Jack is not fond of letting his cabaret acts go without being vindictive and coincidentally, anybody who tries to leave gets killed by the 'slingback killer'.
When word breaks loose about a killer on the prowl The Space Vixens who are intergalactic deities who fight for truth and justice though the power of disco are summoned. They are hot and in heels, and hot on the heels of the murderer. As the two groups collide, old flames are reignited, new couples fall in lust and love, and we discover how far people will go for ‘love and independence. The quirky and catchy songs will leave you wanting to be a Space Vixen! All in all it’s an interactive, all-singing, all-dancing sexually freeing for disco spectacular not to be missed!
The cast consist of Scott Baker as JACK, Chloë Fidler as JUBILEE, Kim Trachtenberg as VULVA/CHESTY/SHIRLEY, Avery Nusbaum as BOOBY, Rachel Saint Franis as BUNNY, Emily Gulden as ANNA, Michael Latshaw as DR. VON WHACKOFF, Fernando Rockenbach as MITCH and Will Horner as SAMMY.
