Centenary Stage Company's 2022 Fringe Festival Kicks Off With "The Artist Will Be You In A Moment" (HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company’s Fringe Festival returns for the 2022-2023 season. Kicking off the Fringe Festival is the Parallel Exit production of The Artist will be With You in a Moment running October 13 through 16. This tells the story of a comic everyman is on a never-ending quest to be understood. His audience awaits. Fill in the blanks in this multimedia event that asks us to investigate where the artist's journey ends and the audience's begins. An immersive audience experience in a solo comic performance as an artist, performer, and clown. A creative force who "can get laughs simply by breathing" (The New York Times).
Music Mountain Theatre presents "Thoroughly Modern Millie" (LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- Music Mountain Theatre revisits the wild and wooly Roaring 20s when Thoroughly Modern Millie comes to the stage for a four-weekend run opening on September 16th and running through October 9th. Set in New York City in 1922, Thoroughly Modern Millie tells the story of young Millie Dillmount from Kansas, who comes to New York in search of a new life for herself.
Vivid Stage presents World Premiere of "Soft Animals" by Erin Mallon (SUMMIT, NJ) -- Vivid Stage, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, will present a world premiere production of Soft Animals by Erin Mallon from September 29 through October 9. Philadelphia Artists' Collective Team Up with theBlackBestFriend to Presents "Wine in the Wilderness" (PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Philadelphia Artists’ Collective (PAC) launches their 12th season with a production of Wine in the Wilderness by Alice Childress, performed at Poth Brewery (3145 W. Indigo Girls to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award at 21st Annual Americana Honors & Awards show (NASHVILLE, TN) -- Indigo Girls will be honored with The Spirit of Americana Award for lifetime achievement as songwriters and recording and touring artists as well as outspoken social activists during a televised ceremony at the historic Ryman Auditorium on Wednesday, September 14.
