(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Exit 82 Theatre Company presents four performances of Carrie, the Musical this weekend. Based on the novel by Stephen King, The musical features Music by Michael Gore, Lyrics by Dean Pitchford, and Book by Lawrence D. Cohen.
Carrie White is a teenage outcast who longs to fit in. At school, she’s bullied by the popular crowd, and virtually invisible to everyone else. At home, she's dominated by her loving but cruelly controlling mother. What none of them know is that Carrie’s just discovered she’s got a special power, and if pushed too far, she’s not afraid to use it.
PLEASE NOTE: Mature themes are explored in this production. CARRIE: The Musical is not suggested for patrons under the age of 13. Strobe and pyrotechnic effects will be used in this production. Viewer discursion is advised.
Performances take place Friday, August 12 at 8:00pm; Saturday, August 13 at 2:00pm & 8:00pm; and Sunday, August 14 at 2:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. This production is produced in part with Exit 82 Theatre's CAPAA "Young Adult Student Production".
