Two River Theater Company presents Crossing Borders (Cruzando Fronteras)


(RED BANK, NJ) -- Two River Theater Company presents Crossing Borders (Cruzando Fronteras) from August 4-7, 2022. This is an annual celebration of new plays by Latinx theater artists. Back in person for the first time in three years, this year’s festival is curated by José Zayas and features four new plays to be read in the Rechnitz Theater. Plays include Trilogy by Matt Barbot, A Skeptic and a Bruja by Rosa Fernandez, December by Marisela Treviño Orta, and The Play You Want by Bernardo Cubría.

Dr. K's Motown Revue to Perform at Cape May Convention Hall


(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- On July 18 at 7:00pm, Cape May Stage kicks off the 2022 PNC Arts Alive Broadway Series with Dr. K’s Motown Revue, a one-night-only tribute concert to Motown classics. Craig Finn and The Uptown Controllers to Perform at House of Independents


(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Craig Finn is a Minnesota-bred singer/songwriter based in New York City, best known as the singer of The Hold Steady. He will perform at House of Independents in Asbury Park on Friday, October 14th with The Uptown Controllers.  Doors are at 7:00pm. Anika Pyle is the opening act.

(TEANECK NJ) -- Debonair Music Hall welcomes 2022 Blues Music Awards winner, soulful blues saxophonist-vocalist Vanessa Collier, making her debut performance at the venue on Saturday, July 23. Showtime is 7:00pm.

Newark Launches Eproval - An Online Permit System For Special Events, Film and Tourism


(NEWARK, NJ) -- On July 13, 2022, Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka announced the launch of Eproval, an online permitting platform that will be used to process applications for special events, block parties, First Amendment gatherings, and film permits. The City moved to an automated platform to streamline the permitting process, reduce complexity, eliminate paper, and save time spent in meetings.
Ramapo College’s Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts Voted a Reader Favorite
