Trilogy Repertory Presents “Bye Bye Birdie” at Pleasant Valley Park


(BASKING RIDGE, NJ) -- As the first show in Bernards Township’s “Plays in the Park” summer series, Trilogy Repertory Company will produce the popular musical Bye, Bye, Birdie with performances July 14-16 and July 21-23 at the outdoor amphitheater at Pleasant Valley Park, Valley Road, in Basking Ridge, at 8 PM each evening. Set in 1958, the story involves rock singer Conrad Birdie (Alex Ridder) who travels to Sweet Apple, Ohio, to make his farewell performance for The Ed Sullivan Show and kiss his biggest fan, Kim MacAfee (Ally Vikovic), before he is drafted.

Bill Toms & Hard Rain to play The Saint on August 5th


(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Pittsburgh’s Bill Toms and Hard Rain return to the Jersey Shore with a show at The Saint in Asbury Park on Friday, August 5th at 8:00pm.  The band has, over the years, made it their mission to pay homage to America’s rich musical traditions, mixing some of the nation’s most beloved genres with a good dose of hope, faith and inclusion.... but it’s safe to say that recently, this has been a bigger challenge than usual.

Little River Band LIVE! at the Count Basie Center for the Arts


Throughout the ‘70’s and ‘80’s, Little River Band enjoyed huge chart success with multiplatinum albums and chart-topping hits. Roxey Ballet Company Accepting Submissions For River Dance Festival


(LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- The Roxey Ballet Company, Inc is accepting submissions from choreographers and/or companies to present their work in beautiful Hunterdon County on the banks of the Delaware River during the River Dance Festival, which takes place August 26-28 at the Music Mountain Theater in Lambertville, NJ. The deadline for submissions is July 25th, 2022.

Essie’s Restaurant & Lounge Featuring Creole Cuisine and Live R&B and Jazz is now Open in Clementon


(CLEMENTON, NJ) -- In 2017, husband-and-wife entrepreneurs Mike and Chèrie Gillespie purchased a South Jersey building with the vision of opening an upscale restaurant and live music lounge. Shortly thereafter, a snowstorm caused the roof to completely cave in, delaying their plans. A global pandemic, a massive renovation, and two years later, the pair have finally opened Essie’s Restaurant & Lounge at 1 Garfield Avenue in Clementon, NJ across from Clementon Park & Splash World in Camden County.

Marking A Sacred Spot: Plaque Marking Reading of the Declaration of Independence in Trenton Re-installed


(TRENTON, NJ) -- On Monday, July 8, 1776, a group of Trenton residents gathered around the front doors of the Hunterdon County Court House on South Warren Street to hear the Declaration of Independence read aloud for the first time. In addition to Trenton, readings of the nation’s founding document were given that day in Philadelphia and in Easton, Pennsylvania.

Axelrod Performing Arts Academy Offers 2022 Summer Programming at Bell Works


(HOLMDEL, NJ) -- Axelrod Performing Arts Academy’s (APPA) 2022 Summer Educational Programming which offers dance and musical theater classes and experiences for kids ages 5+ is underway. Classes are held at the Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater (AXCBT) studio at Bell Works, in Holmdel.
