Paterson Performing Arts Development Council presents "Brown, Black and Blues"


(PATERSON, NJ) -- New Jersey Theatre Alliance presents (NJTA) Affiliate Member the Paterson Performing Arts Development Council’s (PPADC) virtual performance of Brown, Black and Blues on May 22, 2022 at 5:00pm. This event is part of NJTA’s The Stages Festival, the state’s largest annual theatre festival, which provides free and discounted theatre events for all ages throughout the months of March, April, and May. The cost of this event is $10. 
Registration For Brook Arts Center Theater Camp Now Open


(BOUND BROOK, NJ) -- Registration for the Brook Arts Center Summer Theater Camp is now open. Their 2022 program offers two full-day three-week sessions, July 11-29, and August 1-19. Weekdays 9:00am to 3:00pm. Camp Brook is designed to provide a fun creative experience for students entering grades third - 10th in the Fall of 2022, who are interested in exploring the wonders of theater. 
Eagle Theatre presents "Circle Mirror Transformation"

Stage Stars Productions Talks about their Rock & Roll Burlesque


Stage Stars Productions' Rock & Roll Burlesque Show has sold out Crossroads in Garwood, Long Branch Distillery in Long Branch, Stonewall Inn in NYC and more. Israeli world music star Gili Yalo To Perform in Asbury Park

New Jersey Youth Symphony Ends Season with Saint-Saëns’ Organ Symphony


(NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ) -- The New Jersey Youth Symphony (NJYS) will present a concert Exploring Music, Technology and Communication: Together We Celebrate Youth Excellence and Leadership on Saturday, April 30 at 7:00pm at the West Side Presbyterian Church located at 6 South Monroe Street in Ridgewood. Featuring NJYS 2022 Concerto Competition winner Jordan Guzzi and a new work by Dr. Patricio Molina exploring music, technology, and communication, the thrilling Saint-Saëns’ Symphony No. 3, “Organ” with organist Mark Miller will close out the season for the Garden State’s largest youth orchestra program.
RVCC Student Jazz Ensemble to Perform May Concert


(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Raritan Valley Community College’s (RVCC) Student Jazz Ensemble will perform in concert Thursday, May 5 at 7:30pm, in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus. The ensemble will perform pieces by a variety of jazz artists including Thelonious Monk, Duke Ellington, John Coltrane, Horace Silver, and Wayne Shorter, as well as familiar selections from the Great American Songbook. All of these performances will feature spontaneous improvisations by student musicians. 
Beethoven and New Jersey Symphony Come to NJCU on Saturday


(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- The Caroline L. Guarini Department of Music, Dance and Theatre at New Jersey City University (NJCU), in collaboration with the New Jersey Symphony will present Symphony No. 9 in D minor by Ludwig van Beethoven, this Saturday, April 23 at 7:30pm. The performance will be held at the Margaret Williams Theatre located inside NJCU’s Hepburn Hall, 2039 Kennedy Boulevard, Jersey City, N.J.

The Trenton City Museum's annual Ellarslie Open Juried Art Show Invites Artists to Submit Artwork Through May 12


(TRENTON, NJ) -- The Trenton City Museum’s annual Ellarslie Open juried art show invites artists to submit artwork through May 12 via its online Call for Art. Walter Wickiser, of Wickiser Gallery in New York City, will jury the 2022 show.  Artists may submit up to six works, with a maximum of two from any of the 10 primary judging categories. Complete instructions and timeline, and entry link are found at ellarslie.org. The top award, Best In Show Overall, carries a prize of $1000. Best In Show in 2021 was awarded to Mikhail Gubin of New York City.
Monmouth County Park System Seeks Entries for Summer Nights Exhibit


(LINCROFT, NJ) --  Calling all artists!  The Monmouth County Park System is seeking entries into its upcoming Summer Nights Exhibit.  Held from June 3-August 20 at the Gallery in the Thompson Park Creative Arts Center, Lincroft, this exhibit will feature works inspired by the long days and short nights of the summer season. This theme is open to any work that exhibits the feeling of the season in any medium. Nontraditional and traditional renderings are welcome.
