Review: "Clue" at Paper Mill Playhouse

Clue, the mystery boardgame of my youth, has been wonderfully, intelligently and hysterically been brought to the stage of the Paper Mill Playhouse.  It’s no mystery why this deftly directed and designed production is so entertaining.  Every aspect of the show is well done and deserves praise.  Do not pass, go directly to papermill.org and book tickets.  The production runs through February 20, 2022.

Rock On! This Week's Sound Bites...2/3/22

“This is a one-off single, the song felt like it lived in its own bubble because of the environment that we are in now. I didn’t see this as part of a collection, this is almost like an album’s worth of ideas or music in one song for me and it really addresses the life we are living right now and I couldn’t really see any companion pieces for it; you know?”

The Poetry of Testimony: Letters2Maybe Showing at the Spring 2022 New Jersey Film Festival on February 6

Letters2Maybe, a documentary feature by filmmaker, writer, and poet Yehuda Sharim, will show at the New Jersey Film Festival on Sunday, February 6, 2022. This film is a wonderfully wound tapestry of testimonies by immigrants living in the United States. People of varying ages, genders, and ethnicities speak about their experiences, trying to give shape to difficult questions: What does it mean to no longer have access to your homeland? What is the process of becoming disillusioned with the American Dream?  How can community serve as support, solace, and strength in the face of injustice?

Our Favorite Stories in Dance: Dracula by The Atlantic City Ballet

New Jersey Stage published its 25,000th story in December 2021. As the site approached the milestone, we posed the question on social media as how we should celebrate.  One response was to highlight our favorite stories from over the years.  We liked this idea, but could not narrow things down to just 25 favorites so we will present a favorite each day from different genres. Today we're featuring a story on dance. It is a recap of Dracula performed by The Atlantic City Ballet at Lakewood’s Strand Theater in 2018.
