(QUEENS, NY) /PRNewswire/ -- The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and JFK Millennium Partners (JMP), the company selected to build and operate the highly anticipated $4.2 billion Terminal 6 (T6) at John F. Kennedy International Airport, announced on July 16, 2024 that 18 artists have been selected to debut new public art commissions when the terminal opens to passengers in 2026.

Local photographer, Elizabeth Menzies, featured in new exhibition at Seeley G. Mudd Manuscript Library at Princeton University

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- In 1936, three years out of high school and working from her home darkroom on Prospect Avenue in Princeton, Elizabeth Menzies (1915-2003) sold her first cover photograph to the Princeton Alumni Weekly (PAW). That photo and many others went uncredited. The back sides of the prints document an evolution – from the lightly penciled "Menzies" to a polite "Credit Line Appreciated" to her rubber stamp insisting "Credit Line, Please."

Even the mending work on her lap looks freshly ironed—and mind you, this was several decades before the permanent press was a thing. The combination of polka dots, checks, and plaid on the statuesque figure projects a panoply of patterns with the screen door behind her.

Community Collaborations Inspire Sweet Spring Street Mural in Princeton
