Annual Mercer County Teen Arts Festival to Take Place May 2nd

(WEST WINDSOR, NJ) -- On May 2, 2025, hundreds of young artists and performers will have the opportunity to experience the Mercer County Teen Arts Festival. This annual festival provides High School and Middle School students from Mercer County’s public, private, parochial, and independent schools the opportunity for a day of full arts immersion at the West Windsor campus of Mercer County Community College.

Monmouth County Park System issues Call for Entries: "Can't Believe Your Eyes: Optical Illusions Exhibit"

(LINCROFT, NJ) -- Calling all artists! The Monmouth County Park System is seeking entries into its upcoming Can't Believe Your Eyes: Optical Illusions Exhibit. Held from February 7-May 16, 2025 at the Gallery in the Thompson Park Creative Arts Center, Lincroft, this exhibit will feature artwork that utilizes optical illusion, surrealistic thematic imagery, or conveys mirages. All mediums are welcome to apply. Entry deadline is Thursday, January 9.

State of the Arts Wins 35th Emmy Award For Story On Artist Layqa Nuna Yawar's Mural At Newark Liberty International Airport's New Terminal A

State of the Arts, one of the longest-running arts programs in the nation, has won its 35th Emmy Award for the segment "Layqa", which follows Newark-based Indigenous Ecuadorian artist Layqa Nuna Yawar as he creates a colossal mural for Newark Liberty International Airport's newly redesigned Terminal A. The segment's producer, Sam Vladimirsky, won a New York Emmy Award in the "Arts/Entertainment - Short Form Content" category. The award ceremony took place on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the New York Marriot Marquis in Manhattan.

Zimmerli Art Museum has named Jeremiah William McCarthy as Chief Curator

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The Zimmerli Art Museum has named Jeremiah William McCarthy as Chief Curator. In this new role, effective January 6, 2025, McCarthy will serve on the Museum's senior leadership team and participate in shaping its mission and vision.
