Morris Museum Reopens With Five-Day Schedule and Outdoor Concerts
(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- The Morris Museum has announced its return to regular opening hours. Opening hours for the general public will be 11:00am – 5:00pm, Wednesday through Sunday. The Morris Museum had moved to a weekend-only opening schedule during the winter months, after having reopened to the public last July.

Women Photographers in Dodge Collection Focus of April 29 Virtual Exhibition Celebration At Zimmerli
(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The upcoming exhibition Communism Through the Lens: Everyday Life Captured by Women Photographers in the Dodge Collection highlights the unique – and often overlooked – photographic innovations by women who shaped the history of photography during the 20th century. Drawn entirely from the Norton and Nancy Dodge Collection of Nonconformist Art from the Soviet Union at the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University, Communism Through the Lens spans almost the entirety of the Soviet Union’s history – from the 1920s through the 1990s – and offers a historical examination of how women photographers interpreted life in the communist state.

State Theatre presents Online Salsa Basics Class with Elvis Ruiz On April 29
(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents a Salsa Basics Class online with Elvis Ruiz on Thursday, April 29 at 7:00pm ET. Elvis Ruiz is a dance instructor at Alma Montuno Latin Dance. 2021 Musical Theater Songwriting Challenge Opens for Submissions
(WASHINGTON, DC) -- Calling all high school songwriters! The National Endowment for the Arts and the American Theatre Wing are accepting submissions to the 2021 Musical Theater Songwriting Challenge. This national contest is for high school students with a passion for writing songs that could be part of a musical theater production and the wide range of musical styles represented in contemporary musicals. The goal of the program is to engage professionals in the musical theater field in nurturing the next generation of songwriters.
