Light Opera of New Jersey to hold auditions for "Seussical, the Musical"

(BASKING RIDGE, NJ) -- Light Opera of New Jersey will hold auditions for Seussical, the Musical on April 27 from 10:00am to 5:00pm in-person in Basking Ridge and virtual auditions through April 21. This enchanting musical brings to life the beloved characters and stories of Dr. Seuss, with catchy songs and imaginative choreography. Performances will take place August 9-11, 2024 at the Rosen Performing Arts Center in Wayne.



Roxey Ballet presents "Children's Classic Stories"

(EWING, NJ) -- Roxey Ballet invites families to share in the whimsical world of the "Children's Classic Stories" Sleeping Beauty Act III-Aurora's Wedding and Carnival of the Animals this spring season. A production that will delight audiences of all ages, "Children’s Classic Stories" features Roxey's professional company dancers and local students from Mill Ballet School, the official school of Roxey Ballet. The cast beautifully brings these two tales to life while entertaining and inspiring.



The Ma'ayanot Yeshiva High School Drama Society presents "The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time"

(TEANECK, NJ) -- The Ma'ayanot Yeshiva High School Drama Society, in ongoing partnership with Black Box Studios, presents The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time, based on the novel by Mark Haddon and adapted by Simon Stephens. The acclaimed play will be presented live on stage in the new Ma'ayanot Performing Arts Center in Teaneck from April 9-11, 2024.



Zach Bryan Breaks Prudential Center's Attendance Record

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Zach Bryan's "The Quittin Time" Tour with special guests The Middle East and Levi Turner recorded the highest attended concerts in Prudential Center's sixteen plus year history. The record-breaking concerts featuring the country superstar, had 18,641 guests attend on Thursday, March 14, 2024, and 19,151 guests attend on Friday, March 15, 2024, making for the top two most attended shows in The Rock’s history.

State Theatre New Jersey presents 2024 Free Summer Movies Series

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey will offer screenings of five films in their Free Summer Movies Series for 2024. The series begins on July 9th with a screening of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The series follows with Elemental, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken, and closes out on August 6th with Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

The musical ventures through the highs and lows of young life, from baseball and homework to young love and friendship. 2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
