Buddy Guy's "Damn Right Farewell" Tour LIVE! at MPAC

Music lovers inside Morristown, NJ's MPAC auditorium this Friday, May 3, 2024 evening happily await a sold-out Damn Right Farewell concert by blues legend Buddy Guy. Guy is a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer who started out performing with bluesmen like Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters and ended up influencing such major rock guitarists as Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, and Jimmy Page. A winner of multiple Grammys in addition to a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, Guy is included on Rolling Stone's list of "The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" and is also a recipient of a 2012 Kennedy Center Honors award.

UCC Presents Screening, Discussion of Critically Acclaimed Film "Kemba" on Wednesday

(NEWARK, NJ) -- A screening and discussion of the critically acclaimed film, "Kemba," which touches on themes of resilience and education, will be hosted for greater Newark community members by United Community Corporation (UCC). The event will take place Wednesday, May 15 at 4:00pm inside the West Side Park Community Center in Newark. While the event is open to the public, registration is required.



RVCC Institute of Holocaust and Genocide Studies to Hold Virtual Summer Book Series

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- The Raritan Valley Community College Institute of Holocaust and Genocide Studies will present a virtual Summer Book Series beginning in June. The series, which is free of charge and open to the public, will begin June 14, 2024 with author Lilly Maier. The segments will be held via Zoom webinars and registration is required.








MPAC's 10th Annual Spring Musical - Disney's Beauty and the Beast

(NEW YORK, NY) -- Jazz at Lincoln Center (JALC) announced the three top-placing high school jazz bands in the nation plus more than 100 individual and section awards in the prestigious 29th Annual Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Competition and Festival - held May 9-11, 2024 at Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center and the hallmark program for the largest jazz education network in the world. The competition is part of the organization's festival of events celebrating the 125th birthday of Duke Ellington, one of music's most influential composers, musicians, and bandleaders; and Jazz at Lincoln Center's lodestar since the organization's founding in 1987.



State Theatre New Jersey 2024 Benefit Gala features performance by Jay Leno

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey will host its annual Benefit Gala on Saturday, June 8, 2024. Arden Theatre Company presents "Dear Evan Hansen"

(PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Arden Theatre Company brings the Tony Award-winning musical, Dear Evan Hansen, to the F. Otto Haas Stage this spring. Featuring a book by Steven Levenson and music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the production is directed by Terrence J. Nolen and co-conceived by Jorge Cousineau and Nolen. Performances begin May 21, the show opens May 27, and runs through July 5, 2026.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.
