Zimmerli Announces Fall Programs for Campus and Community, Introduces New Membership Benefits

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University—New Brunswick has announced its schedule of free public programs for the fall of 2024, as well as new member experiences. Such favorites as SparkNight, Último Domingo, Art Together, Study Break and artist talks return, with the addition of monthly highlight tours. Events take place at the Zimmerli (71 Hamilton Street) in New Brunswick, unless otherwise noted.

National Ballet of Ukraine to Perform in Englewood, New Brunswick, and Red Bank

The National Ballet of Ukraine (NBU), one of the world's premier ballet companies and the country's official ballet company, will grace the stages of the United States this October with the dancer's exceptional talent and magnificent highlights from its repertoire. This 16-city tour will include 20 performances taking place across the East Coast, including three New Jersey locations; Bergen Performing Arts Center (30 N Van Brunt Street) in Englewood on Saturday, October 12 at 8:00pm, New Brunswick's State Theatre New Jersey (15 Livingston Avenue) on Sunday, October 13 at 8:00pm, and Red Bank's Count Basie Center for the Arts (99 Monmouth Street) on Monday, October 14 at 7:30pm.








WORD Bookstore presents A Conversation with Deryck Whibley of Sum 41 at White Eagle Hall

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- WORD Bookstore presents A Conversation with Deryck Whibley, the lead singer of Sum 41, on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. The event takes place at White Eagle Hall. All ticket purchasers will receive a copy of Deryck Whibley's autobiography "Walking Disaster". This candid memoir of music, fame, and endurance follows his rise from a punk kid to an international star. Doors are at 7:00pm, showtime is 8:00pm.



Centenary Stage Company Accepting Applicants for Fall 2024 Young Performer's Workshop session

(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- Centenary Stage Company's Young Performer’s Workshop returns this fall from September 14 through December 22, 2024 and the deadline to apply is September 13. The Young Performer's Workshop is a 15-week theatre training program for performers ages 8-18. Each session culminates with a Festival of Shows performed by the students. New applicants must complete an interview with the director of the program, Michael Blevins, before registering. Initial interviews will take place via phone or zoom call.



Mayor Fulop & New Jersey Symphony announce new permanent headquarters & performance hall located in Jersey City for premier symphony orchestra

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- On August 21, 2024, Mayor Steven M. Fulop and the New Jersey Symphony announced the renowned Symphony's relocation to a new state-of-the-art, 44,000-square-foot theater in Jersey City's downtown Powerhouse Arts District. The announcement marks an important new chapter for both the Symphony and Jersey City, offering a dedicated permanent location that will serve the local community and contribute to the Symphony's ongoing activities across the state.



Trenton Thunder Ballpark hosts Laugh My Pancre-Ass Off on Saturday

(TRENTON, NJ) -- On Saturday, August 24, 2024, Trenton Thunder Ballpark hosts Laugh My Pancre-Ass Off - a night of comedy and music to raise awareness and funds for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, the Grand Slam We Care Foundation: Strike Out Cancer and the Andy Schram Foundation. Frank Iero to Release Deluxe 10th Anniversary Album of "Stomachaches" entitled "XNauseousX"

Arden Theatre Company presents "Dear Evan Hansen"

(PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Arden Theatre Company brings the Tony Award-winning musical, Dear Evan Hansen, to the F. Otto Haas Stage this spring. Featuring a book by Steven Levenson and music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the production is directed by Terrence J. Nolen and co-conceived by Jorge Cousineau and Nolen. Performances begin May 21, the show opens May 27, and runs through July 5, 2026.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.
