Since recently moving from his longtime residence of Central Jersey to along the Delaware River in rural Hunterdon County, where his neighbors are now cows and horses, Michael Patrick has found country living provides inspiration. Shortly after the move, he quit his day job of 15 years to perform and write music fulltime.

I'm doing the Beatle Fest in New Jersey before we do Sellersville; it's just me," laughed the always pleasant, always jovial and always upfront original Yardbird Jim McCarty. "What's happening now is, we're doing a different sort of show. Somebody had suggested to me a few years ago; why don't you do The Yardbirds history? So, we're doing a different show where I talk through the history of the group and we play the songs as they come up and we have a back projection illustrating what I'm talking about. We've never done this before, Sellersville will be the first one (Laughs)."

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.

The canopy of foliage that hangs over the streetcorners feels saturated with moisture. Even the shadows on the sidewalk are puddle blue. Businesses have their umbrellas open. A few people do, too.
