NJPAC presents R&B superstar Tyrese Gibson

originally published: 04/03/2025

(NEWARK, NJ) -- R&B superstar Tyrese Gibson will perform at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 7:00pm. He is set to deliver an unforgettable night featuring his chart-topping songs like "Sweet Lady" and "How You Gonna Act Like That." Concert goers can anticipate a memorable experience as Gibson captivates the audience with his powerful vocals and engaging stage presence.

Tyrese's most recent studio album, *Black Rose*, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard R&B Albums Chart and included the single "Shame," which topped the Billboard Adult R&B Songs Chart for 16 consecutive weeks. The artist is known for "keeping the flame for traditional R&B burning by drawing deep from his soul with powerful vocals and candid songwriting" (AllMusic).

Since releasing his self-titled debut album in 1998, Tyrese has earned six GRAMMY® nominations and recorded numerous hits, including "Shame," "Sweet Lady," and "How You Gonna Act Like That." Last year, he released *Beautiful Pain, a heartbreak album with a nostalgic sound.

When he’s not captivating audiences with his incredible voice, he is busy acting in films, including the Fast & Furious franchise and Baby Boy, a coming-of-age hood classic.

Tickets start at $49.50 and are available for purchase online, by calling 888.GO.NJPAC (888.466.5722) or by visiting the NJPAC Box Office.
