All art is sequential. As long as we exist in time, we're condemned to see one picture after another and carry our associations from the first thing we see to the second, and third, and umpteenth. Though an artist can attempt to dictate the sequence, her authorial control is far from absolute. A cartoonist can guide us from frame to frame, but there's nothing to stop us from leaping to the punchline. A curator can ask us to navigate a conceptual mini-golf course, but we may putt right around the trickiest obstacles.

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- The Hudson West Fest is excited to announce the lineup for its 8th annual roots music festival and is sweetening the pot with the news that all ticket fees will be dropped this year. The event will occur on Saturday, September 13, 2025, and will feature 10 music performers on both indoor and outdoor stages. The expanded street fair will include vendors, artisans, family activities, and dancing. The organizers will also present four music-based workshops (topics to be announced soon) at no cost. (PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- This spring, Arden Children's Theatre invites families into a hilariously twisted world where classic fairy tales don't go quite as expected in its next production of the 2025/26 season, The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales (The Stinky Cheese Man). Based on the beloved book by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith, adapted by John Glore, the production brings the book's fractured fairy tales to life for kids and adults alike. Directed by Steve Pacek, the production runs on the Arden’s Arcadia stage with previews starting April 8, opening night on April 18, with performances running through May 31.
