Today's episode takes us to London, England. Well, sort of. East Lynne Theater Company's production of "Every Brilliant Thing" is currently rehearsing across the pond and I was able to steal a few moments with actor Rohan Tickell and director Deirdre McLaughlin. Joining us from East Lynne's headquarters in Cape May is Executive Director Mark David Boberick.

Back in March of this year, Christine Zemla of the Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Foundation put together what has now become an annual sojourn to the place widely considered to be the birthplace of Blues music; Clarksdale, Mississippi. Seven hearty souls (Including this writer and "Rock On Radio's" Producer Claire) made the trip with Zemla and Scott "Blind Squirrel" Zemla (His given Blues name) for four days of fun, local cuisine, education, history and the most incredible music the Mississippi Delta has to offer.

Harmonium Choral Society to Hold Auditions for 2025-2026 Season

Catching Up with Author Paul Bomba

Paul Bomba came of age in Asbury Park during the No Lifeguard on Duty era and brings personal insights to a story set in an historic time and place. In the book, three unlikely teenage friends struggle with family conflicts and their racial, cultural and class identities while Asbury Park erupted with racial unrest in July 1970. The idea came to him as a teenager, and it traveled with him when he graduated from Asbury High (class of 1974), and through careers in academia and business.

MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
