Works by Local Artist Clara Sue Beym to Be Exhibited at Lacey Library in September

(FORKED RIVER, NJ) -- Interested in seeing paintings by a talented local artist? The Lacey Branch of the Ocean County Library will host the exhibit "Pieces of Nature: Seascapes, Landscapes and More!" by Clara Sue Beym from September 2-30, 2025. It will feature watercolor paintings, torn paper collages and linocut prints depicting seascapes, landscapes, and more.

Tom Nussbaum's Six-Decade Journey Comes Alive in Major Retrospective at Montclair Art Museum

(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- The Montclair Art Museum presents Tom Nussbaum: But Wait, There's More!, the first full-career retrospective of American artist Tom Nussbaum (b. 1953), from September 13, 2025 to January 4, 2026. Featuring more than 80 works spanning six decades, the exhibition showcases Nussbaum's distinctive use of vibrant color, richly varied forms, and his fluid movement between figuration and abstraction. Across sculpture, drawing, and design, his inventive body of work invites curiosity, interpretation, and personal connection. As he has observed, "Much of my work is open to interpretation, and as such it welcomes viewers to find their own stories in it."

NJPAC presents a Spring Season of Jazz

PBS' Independent Lens Launches 20th Season of Free Pop-Up Screening Series in Teaneck and Nationwide

(TEANECK, NJ) -- The award-winning PBS documentary series, INDEPENDENT LENS, presents the launch of the upcoming season of Indie Lens Pop-Up in partnership with the Teaneck International Film Festival and the Puffin Cultural Forum. "She's Like the Wind"

The first thing you'll see upon entering the gallery at Deep Space (77 Cornelison St.) is the shadow-outline of a woman's leg. There it is, on a chartreuse background, sticking straight up in the air with a curvaceous bare foot inches from the ceiling. That's all of the subject of "Lemon Lime Toe of God" that the oil painter Delilah Ray Miske is willing to show us. The rest of the body, she implies, is splayed out on a bed. We know it's summer because the window is closed and the air conditioner is plugged in. There's a pretty good chance that the possessor of the leg is undressed. In one hand, she holds a cellphone, and she might be broadcasting something. On the wall, a small whip-like broomstick hangs. It could be the ride of a tiny witch. It could be the professional tool of a dominatrix.
