New Jersey Youth Chorus to Hold Mid-Year Auditions

(NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ) -- The New Jersey Youth Chorus (NJYC), a program of Wharton Arts, will hold mid-year auditions for select ensembles in January 2026 for singers in grades 3–12. Auditions provide young vocalists with the opportunity to join a vibrant choral community rooted in musical excellence, collaboration, and belonging.



Paper Mill Playhouse Awarded a National Endowment for the Arts Grant for America250: Arts Projects Honoring the National Garden of American Heroes

(MILLBURN, NJ) -- Paper Mill Playhouse has announced it is the recipient of a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) for Celebrating America250: Arts Projects Honoring the National Garden of American Heroes. A grant of $25,000 will support the theater's upcoming production of 1776, playing April 1-26, 2026 at the theater.



Soul Asylum to bring Acoustic Tour to the area in April

(NEWTON, NJ) -- Grammy award-winning and multi-platinum selling rock band Soul Asylum are heading out on a special acoustic tour in 2026.  Locally, the band will perform at City Winery in Philadelphia (April 14), The Vogel in Red Bank (April 16) and The Newton Theatre in Newton (April 18).

The Players Guild of Leonia to Hold Auditions for "The Psychic" by Sam Bobrick

(LEONIA, NJ) -- The Players Guild of Leonia will hold auditions for The Psychic by Sam Bobrick on three days from January 4-11, 2026.  This play is a laugh-out-loud mystery full of twists, turns, and unexpected revelations.  The production will be directed by Terri Caust.

Camden hosts Winter Wonderland Festival at Roosevelt Park on Friday

(CAMDEN, NJ) -- Camden Community Partnership announces the grand debut of a new winter and holiday festival. Winter Wonderland Festival will bring holiday cheer and family fun to Roosevelt Plaza Park (520 Market Street) on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. The free event will include live music performances, Santa meet-and-greets, a Christmas carousel, mini-train rides, food trucks, community tables, face painting, holiday vendors, hot chocolate and cookie station, Christmas characters and more.

Each year, Makin Waves picks the 12 independent New Jersey-based music acts who made the most waves. That means residing at least half the year in and paying income tax to New Jersey (and not just from here), extensive touring in support of a new original LP or EP, preferably internationally; professional quality narrative videos; singles that garnered broadcast and online radio play and significant streams; national press, and other awards. MPAC Announces Free Summer Concert Lineup for 2026

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center's Arts in the Community free summer concert schedule for 2026 has been announced. MPAC will present six free concerts between June and August. The lineup includes the return of three of their most popular events – Bollywood Dance Party, Country Line Dancing and Salsa at Sunset, as well as singer-songwriters, and more.

Classic American Tales' presents Tales at the Dormer House every Thursday

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- From June 4 through October 15, 2026 (except for July 2), Classic American Tales (CAT) once more presents Tales at the Dormer House in which guests are treated to lemonade and tasty treats while listening to stories written by noteworthy authors, read by a variety of performers. The schedule is 4:00pm every Thursday at the historic Dormer House Bed and Breakfast (800 Columbia Avenue) in Cape May, NJ. Performances are on the front porch, weather permitting.

East Lynne Theater Company presents "Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years" by Emily Mann

Princeton Summer Theater presents "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown"

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Princeton Summer Theater's 2026 Children's Show is You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, which runs weekends from June 20 to August 1, 2026. A beloved musical since its premiere in 1967, Clark Gesner brings Charles M. Schulz's "PEANUTS" characters to the stage. The musical ventures through the highs and lows of young life, from baseball and homework to young love and friendship. With an empathetic and whimsical eye, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown reminds us of the importance of connection and joy.

2026-27 Season Preview: Split Level Concerts at Jersey Shore Arts Center

(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- Split Level Concerts at the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC) in Ocean Grove has announced the full concert lineup for its third season. All shows will take place beginning at 8:00pm in JSAC's Palaia Theater. The season lineup includes Willie Nile, John Gorka, Dan Bern, Catie Curtis and Band, Stephen Kellogg, Abbie Gardner, Heather Maloney and Band, and Kim Richey. As they have done in prior years, artists from the Asbury Park music scene will open many of the shows.
