Full Circle Magic: Tara and Austin Jarboe Return to Roxey Ballet's Nutcracker for the 30th Anniversary Season

(EWING, NJ) -- This holiday season, Roxey Ballet celebrates the magic of The Nutcracker—and the real-life love story that blossomed within its cast. As the company marks its 30th Anniversary production, longtime Roxey Ballet family members Tara and Austin Jarboe return to the stage as Mother and Father Stahlbaum, the beloved hosts of the ballet's opening party scene.



The Theater Project presents a Staged Reading of "B.B'S"

(CRANFORD, NJ) -- The Theater Project, in conjunction with the Friends of the Cranford Library as part of its series of staged readings of new plays, will be presenting B.B.'S, by Bill Mesce, Jr., based on the fiction of three acclaimed New Jersey writers, and directed by Lynn Marie Macy. The reading is scheduled for Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 2:00pm. As with all of The Theater Project's readings, it is followed by discussion with the author, director, cast, and audience. Admission is free.



State Theatre New Jersey presents Richard Thomas in "Mark Twain Tonight!" by Hal Holbrook

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents Richard Thomas in Mark Twain Tonight! by Hal Holbrook from November 5-6, 2025. Emmy® Award-winning actor Richard Thomas will star in a new production of Mark Twain Tonight!. Richard is the first and only actor authorized to perform the play, written and originally performed by Hal Holbrook.

Montclair Film Festival Announces 2025 Competition and Audience Award Winners

(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- Montclair Film has announced the winners of the festival's 2025 Montclair Film Festival's competitions. This year's festival featured three competitive categories: Fiction, Documentary, and Future/ Now. Additionally, the Fiction and Documentary juries also awarded films for the festival's Short Film competitions. The MFF also announced the festival's 2025 Audience Awards and Junior Jury prizes.



NJ State Bar Foundation Funds Pushcart Players Scholarships for NJ Schools

Pushcart Players, the award-winning educational theater for young and family audiences, has received a generous investment from The New Jersey State Bar Foundation (NJSBF) with a grant to subsidize performances in New Jersey schools. Part of Pushcart's Diversity and Outreach Initiative, the project will support under-resourced schools in presenting "Lift Every Voice: A Letter to the Editor" during Pushcart's 51st Season.

NJPAC presents a Spring Season of Jazz

PBS' Independent Lens Launches 20th Season of Free Pop-Up Screening Series in Teaneck and Nationwide

(TEANECK, NJ) -- The award-winning PBS documentary series, INDEPENDENT LENS, presents the launch of the upcoming season of Indie Lens Pop-Up in partnership with the Teaneck International Film Festival and the Puffin Cultural Forum.
